This new album of the famous french singer Sylvie Vartan consists of 16 covers of hits from the sixties (for example J'attendrai : "Reach out I'll be there" by The Four Tops, "Nouvelle Vague : "Three Cool Cats" , Dans le souffle du vent: "Blowin' in the wind" by Bob Dylan etc. ). Most songs are sung in french, but some are recorded in english (= "Ruby Tuesday" by The Rolling Stones, "I am a believer" by The Monkees und "Drive my car" by The Beatles.). Moreover the japanese release has one italian bonus track(= "Preghero" :"Stand by me" by Ben E. King), so that you get 16 songs in total. To sum it up: An excellent album , especially for those who like sixties pop!

I was looking for an inexpensive collection of dance music to get my toddler moving, with some of the catchy songs that I remember enjoying as a kid. These CDs have some good songs (my toddler really likes "Celebration") but the kids singing the songs sing in what I call "Barbie doll voices" and are a little off key; personally I find it spoils the fun. Also, the arrangement lacks energy, in my opinion, so it doesn't encourage dancing as much as it should. Apart from one or two songs my toddler didn't really notice that the music was on. A major problem with the unprofessional presentation is that the CD numbers aren't written on them so when you pop one in you don't know which collection of songs will play. I had to label the CDs 1,2,3, with a sharpie. I won't be buying any more "pop 4 kids" ... Read More
