Look, this is Mick Harvey: a Bad Seed and God's own right hand man... you can't go wrong with any of his solo albums! This set of (mostly) covers is certainly more accessible than his soundtrack stuff and, although it may lack the immediacy of almost any Nick Cave release, it retains thoughtful, intelligent and dark considerations for your aural enjoyment. Bill Withers is One of the Greatest Singer/Songwriters Ever. he has a solid to the point approach to his Music making. quite a few of these songs arfe considered standards and when you hear them you know them and feel the soul and directness of them. this is a strong multi set that captures the true essence and greatness of Bill Withers.

This woman once again proves to the younger musicians and everyone else willing to listen: Age is just a number and experience counts for everything. She pulls lyrics form some of the great including Annie Lennox! And holy mother og pete's christ can this woman sing! I saw her live and this album does a pretty nice job of pulling off her live sound. It is so raw and gritty like best Stax records were. Don't hesitate appreciate and buy this album.
