If you love freestyle music, this is the perfect cd for you. I just loved this cd from start to end. I wished it went on longer, so I bought myself a box set of freestyle cd's. Let me say this one cd is really the ultimate freestyle cd.

What a wonderful collection of Bob Wills music! I've been listening to Bob Wills since my childhood and have many vinyl and CD albums. This collection surprised me with many selections that I did not already have. I received the set for Christmas (2006) and I still listen to some part of it at least 5 days of each week. The music is pure Bob Wills as I remember it from my earliest years and the DVD tracks remind me of watching and listening to Bob Wills with my father. If you are a nostalgic fan of Bob Wills and His Texas Playboys (as I am), spend the money and buy this set. If you are just a casual fan, I'd recommend a much smaller collection of greatest hits.

Starz was on the periphery of bands I listened to back in high school in the late 70's . They received no airplay on the southwestern Wyoming and Salt Lake City radio stations I listened to, so you kind of had to take a chance on the more obscure stuff like Starz. I did like the band logo! Back then, I only had the later Starz' "Coliseum Rock," which was okay, but not great by any stretch. I recently decided to check out the earlier Starz efforts after seeing them on YouTube. I have to say I was not disappointed. Today, Starz is pretty much overlooked when 'music experts' reminisce and discuss 70's rock music. But back in the day, Starz was mentioned in the same breath as Aerosmith, Kiss, and Boston. Don't be duped as I was about this bootleg amature recording. I grew up listening to and love the music of Starz. They are talented musicians and can rock the house. I have a number of LP's which represent them well. However, this recording is garbage. While the performance may offer some insight as to the energy of the band, the sound is just downright terrible. The previous review spoke of what a wonderful release this is. Don't buy into this. This CD is one of the worst I have EVER experienced and is a waste of hard earned cash - don't be duped.

This is by far one of the best CDs I own. I was pretty much a smashing pumpkins fan through college, but Serene was a pleasent surprise ordered by accident. I can listen to this album all day, very very talented. Does anyone have any reviews of some of their other projects? Id love to get more of their stuff. its a shame they never made it big, Id have loved to have more serene Cds in my collection.
