This three disc set is great if you are just getting into the genius that is Mozart. Most of the recordings are of a high quality and the final disc, "Serene and Sublime" which showcases Mozart's music at its most beautiful, is really great. And for the price you really can't go wrong. I highly recommend this for anyone who wants to be introduced to Mozart's music.

I should have read all the selections before purchasing this--Orff's "O Fortuna"?! I'm sorry I spent money on this. Many of these selections are completely inappropriate for a wedding, unless you don't mind songs that set a dire mood. Bride's magazine's compilation and "A Brides Guide to Wedding Music" (3 CDs) had many more useful selections.

I was wanting some Classical Music to listen to when I read or surf the web. To be honest I dont know much about it, but Ive always liked it. When my daughter was born a few years ago they gave her a Mozart CD for babies, and I enjoyed listening to it.

So I recently purchased "Everybody's Mozart" for myself. Its two CD's, combining for about two and a half hours of music. The back cover of the CD case says "Everybody loves Mozart! His greatest hits are at your fingertips on two long playing compact discs. Heard in film, televison, advertising and of course, concert halls- Mozart is as popular today as ever. From the first sublime moments to the final joyful chord- everyone will instantly recognize these treasured works."

Im real happy with the purchase. ... Read More

The music on this CD was not as deep or as rich as it should be. Maybe it was simplified on purpose. I have purchased other "baby" music, before, with much fuller sound.

The sumptious sound of Gardiner's English Baroque Soloists opens this disc with clarion precision. From the very beginning, they are the epitome of perfect baroque playing - never getting a microbeat behind Gardiner's fiendishly speedy baton, and are particularly delightful when tripping through Mozart's Exsultate Jubilate accompanying the sublime Ms McNair. Sylvia McNair, although comparatively rarely recorded, produces a wonderfully enthusiastic performance, using all of the vocal devices in her armoury (listen out for the whispered phrase in Silete Venti, the first cantata on the disc). While the Handel is lovely, however, the Mozart is truly spectacular, showing McNair's talent for semi-quaver articulation, particularly in the famous Alleluia which concludes the disc. Overall, ...
