I bought this CD to play while I am putting my infant son to bed. Every night I give him his bottle, read him a story and like to have soothing music playing in the background. This was a great choice! It makes for a great alternative to lullaby CD's. I highly recommend it if you are looking for a nice relaxing blend of classical music.

For the price and the chance that this was an impulse buy - I am very pleased with this cd. One of the better classical compilations I have had in a long while!

I bought this set in a store 2 years ago, i paid about$70 for it.thats about what its worth. I resold it on the net last year for about $100. thats really all this set is worth. the chopin is good the beethoven is excellent,the scriabin is good but the recording is terrible. the ravel the same. the weber is also a very bad recording. the brahms was recorded when richter started playing on yamaha pianos because he was going deaf. this renders a very horrible tinny sound,the playing is excellent but the piano is not worthy of the perfornance. to sum it up the playing is excellent on all the recordings but there is only about six disks worth of music that is worthy of giving attention to, $100 thats a fair price for this set. find a good distributer or a good classical music store like tower ... I really like nature cds and I like classical music as well so I had hoped combining them would result in a great mix. This cd seemed to take away from the effect of each though. Every song had the formula: insert 10-15 sec. nature type sounds, play poor rendition of classical song with light nature sounds background, end with 10-15 more sec. nature type sounds. Not worth the money at all. This may just be a bad cd but I found it much more enjoyable to listen to the styles separately.
