this is not a bad cd to buy. its still miles ahead of nashville country, and lifetime stand is an outstanding song. The biggest problem with this cd has to do with steel guitarist jimmy not being a part of cooder g on this cd. the result of this is that this cd has much more of a rock sound, this album lacks the country sound that previous albums had, on many tracks. the lyrics are still pretty tight. buy this cd but make sure you get shifting gears, live at billy bobs or golden light or the self title before you get this one, they are all superior 5-star efforts. sadly another texas country band is turning towards rock. for artists still playing texas country check out jason allen, cody widner, or front porch texas.

When these Cumbrian guys are good, for example, in Trippin' Up Inclines and The Road to Coventry, they are very, very good. The immaculate production, heart-felt lyrics and smooth harmonies are breath-taking. This is a highly-polished collection of songs. And, of course, any opportunity to see them live should be jumped on without hesitation. Good stuff. Ken Coffman is the author of Steel Waters, Toxic Shock Syndrome and other novels.

Wow, wow, wow. This show is so great, with just two Cast members, and a small orchestra this show hits a home run. The show centers around John and Jen (go figure) but John her brother dies, and she blames herself partly, so when she has a son she names him John and tries to reincarnate her brother. It is such an amazing show. I strongly suggest getting this show no matter who you are. Listen to it all the way through, and see if you aren't moved. This show is great also in that the music tells the story perfectly. Jen's voice can be a little sharp, but over all its fine. Jon's voice is absolutely lovely. This would get a 4.5 stars if I could give it. And again this isn't just for Broadway lovers, but everyone! Favorite Song: "Every goodbye is Hello"
