Being a classical pianist, I have heard many collections of piano recordings and personally most all of Moyer's fantastic collection, but this CD is definitely a must own. It contains in my opinion the most beautiful and moving songs of classical music and covers the best of the classical, romantic and contemporary periods. A gem for sure. It is one of my most listened to CDs and Moyer's technique and especially his mastery of the expression and feel of each composer is unequalled by anyone. Cliburn and Rubenstein move over.

I came across this CD (from a "Relaxation" series) by accident and thought, oh no, just another compilation of classical music tidbits---and taken from TV commercials/shows yet---oh, spare me! But how wrong I was. Despite its boast of being, "The Most Popular Classical TV Themes in the Universe" title (and because the price was reasonable for a 2-CD set), I bought the CD and was amazed by the quality of the recordings. I was disappointed when neither the manufacturer nor Amazon.com provided a listing of the artists on the recordings; as after hearing some of the tracks, I wanted to buy the artists' complete renditions. My favorite track on this CD, Debussy's "Clair de Lune," is performed so movingly, so stirringly, so hauntingly, that I wish I knew who recorded it. Not all tracks are arranged ... Read More

I think the mix was good and it will help with there collection because it contains music from there other CD mixes such as "Mozart on the Munu", "Rachmaninoff for Romance", and "Bach at Bedtime".

This is a very pleasing program of selections of great romantic melodies, beautifully arranged. This album is also a wonderful album to listen to while falling asleep and would make a great gift for someone who appreciates classical music but doesn't have specific preferences.

This young lady is quite a gifted player. She is able to bring you on a delightful musical journey as you sit back and listen to her perform. The feeling that I get when listening is one of a musical rollercoaster with the lowest point being the most quiet and gentle voice. The rollercoaster continues up to the roaring top with power, expression and explosive energy. Kathleen is a gifted performer. She exibits a technical expertise second to none. The notes seem to flow from her fingers as you listen with a huge smile and closed eyes. I have heard many pianists in concert, but Kathleen Nelson has my adoration as the best I have ever heard anywhere at any time. Bravo to you Kathleen. Please gift us with more. Please!
