What a great CD! Absolutely the best Neil Diamond collection to date! Only missed 5 stars due to the absense of 3 songs: Shilo, Brooklyn Roads and Done Too Soon. Other than that, this collection is the best!!

This double album combines LITTLE DEUCE COUPE with ALL SUMMER LONG. As a result, you get the most propulsive, driving rock and roll sound of the early Beach Boys, ("Little Deuce Coupe" "409" "Shut Down") combined with ballads like "Girls On the Beach" and "Hushabye." It's impossible to exaggerate the clean, lush, precision of the Beach Boys' harmonies on "Hushabye," which was originally a primitive Fifties song by a forgotten group called the Mystics. Then there are the driving fast songs on SUMMER which have a sweeter, sleigh bell sound, like "Drive In" and "Do You Remember."

On top of all that this CD package provides great bonus rarities like "Be True To Your School" (the rare hit single version, with twanging guitars and sound effects) and "Carl's Big Chance" the instrumental ... Read More

My wife & I are ballroom beginners, and we have found this to have lots of tunes that are great for practice. The single waltz is too fast for beginners, and swings should be supplemented by anything Glen Miller. See "Let's Dance: The Best of Ballroom" for some really great foxtrots and waltzes.

I actually saw the video of this acoustic concert first and it was heaven. The raw, true, energy, and soul of Ann Wilson is just gold; Ann and Nancy together again in this 1995 event is spectacular. An absolute must for any and all who appreciate the true sound of music and love HEART.

I was part of the audience at this get together of 500 hundred people or so, taped here in Seattle and it was one of their best shows. The sound comes out in the CD just as if you were there too. The vocals of Ann Wilson are like none of any other and cannot be matched. She takes you to wherever the song is and makes you believe that you are part of the story. Recommended for anyone and especially for the elite of Heart fans.

Alma Cogan was unfamiliar to me until a few months ago, when I ordered (on the basis of email conversations with a British friend) another CD of hers. As you can tell if you read that review, I was very favorably impressed by her voice on that CD, and came back to buy this one. While the other CD (advertised as "The Magic of Alma Cogan" on Amazon, but actually currently for sale under the title "The Best of Alma Cogan") consisted of songs that were highly popular in the UK, this CD is a reissue of two LPs she made in 1958 and 1961, primarily of old standards. Both CDs contain many familiar songs, and to someone who likes the old traditional pop music that was around in the 1950s, both will sound good. If you like listening to singers like Doris Day or Rosemary Clooney, try Alma Cogan.
