The classical music on this cd is very nice, slow, relaxing, almost guarenteed to put you to sleep. But there are these little birdies that insist on chirping along with the music - and they aren't keeping time very well. This would have been a slightly mind-numbing cd without the birds. As it is, it's relaxing music that will annoy you. Can you do both of those at once?

These percussion adaptations are a great way to introduce your kids to Bach and other early composers. Fun, light-hearted approach using xylophone, triangle, marimba, drum, etc. Our family has really enjoyed Bach on Wood.

I've played the piano most of my life and still do so recreationally. When my 7-year-old daughter started dance lessons, I was looking for music for her to practice by and just have fun dancing to. Steven Mitchell's "On Your Mark" CD has brilliant and fun renditions of many children's favorites as well as classical and popular tracks. His talent on the keyboard is remarkable and makes all of the music a joy to listen to. My daughter loves to dance and practice to the music. If you want to get your kids moving, "On Your Mark" is the CD that will do it!

This cd is like listening to angels singing! Awesome for meditation or relaxation. I'm really glad I bought it. I've had several friends and family members asking where I got it and wanting to get a copy.

Rod McKuen's carols are no longer "new," but for most listeners they probably are. This album is typical Rod McKuen: some spoken word material, some upbeat songs, a few depressing songs thrown in for good measure, and an atypical album cover. Every song has his trademark folk/easy listening style. Part of me really appreciates the style, although it often drives my friends crazy. Perhaps since most people are used to more traditional sounding Christmas songs, they won't mind hearing Rod's CD. "The Carols of Christmas" song is beautiful. "So My Sheep May Safely Graze" tells of the birth of the Good Shepherd, the one who allows "the sheep to safely graze."
