I saw the show in Chicago and loved it. They were selling this same CD in the lobby for $25. I'm glad I resisted and bought it on amazon instead. Great oldies with excellent sound quality.

I bought the album after seeing the stage show, "Jersey Boys". My wife and I loved the show, and wanted to experience the the good feelings of the period when the group was one of our favorites!

I've been a HUGE Four Seasons fan since I was young and have strived to collect their entire catalogue. With these new releases, it leaves me one step closer. And, as with all obscure collections, sometimes you find a diamond in the rough. This combo release is good, but the first contains a lot of "greatest hits" material you might already own, and the second half fails in song choice and arrangement. The first album, ENTERTAIN YOU, starts off well and has some popular songs such as "Show Girl," "Bye Bye Baby," "Big Man In Town," "Betrayed," and "Toy Soldier." Odds are, however, that if you have any of their greatest hits, you might be double dipping with these. Disc One had many of the songs I wanted, but the sound quality is definitely substandard, particularly in this day of digital remastering. I could have skipped Disc Two altogether - it consisted of a lot of screeching and poor arrangements of songs sung better by other groups. Based on some of the reviews I read, I really expected better for the money. Wish I could get a refund!

Every once in a while us older folks catch a swing of melancholy for those 'growing up years', those terrible teens when we were trying to literally grow new skin. The sixties were such a time for me and one of the most lucid memories for me was when mom gave me a 45rpm single of "Rag Doll" with the flip, "Silence Is Golden" and I subsequently drove her out of her mind playing it over and over and over. Subsequently, to keep her sanity, she bought me the album I am discussing right here. Man, I was in heaven! I am deaf, and have to hear with an aid, but I loved the beat and harmonics of this group, became an instant fan, and still feel that this album is the best of the lot; one where ALL the songs are worth listening to again and again. This CD combines two 4 Seasons albums from 1965/66. Originally, "Working My Way" included three recordings that had already appeared on "Entertain You", but of course those songs are only featured once each here. But there are three bonus tracks included, so there are still the same number of songs. Both of these albums were strong efforts by the 4 Seasons. This is a great CD! Loved it so much I had to buy Vol 2. You can listen to all the songs before you purchase and they are fantastic. I'd highly recommend this to anyone who loves these songs.
