Not entirely a debut album for Kristy Lee Cook, WHY WAIT bursts out of the gate with some terrific pop/country performances here. However, the chief problem with pop/country music is that, as a genre, it tries very hard to sound like pop/country music. As a result, there's a dangerous element of 'sameness' to it which I think many reviewers pick up on. Performers tend to sound alike, but Cook -- in her spirited youth -- does add some nice touches to distinguish herself from other similarly talented singers here; let's hope she keeps pushing that envelope in the future! 15 MINUTES OF SHAME (5 out ot 5): Every guy's great fear ... set to music! I did'nt think i was going to like this cd much, that is untill i put it in my player! This is my favor Christmas CD that i have, it seems like you could listen to it all year and not get sick of it.

I'm not impressed with this cd from Craig Morgan. Compared to the last cd, this one is more "pop-country". In my opinion, Craig in his previous releases had his own sound and style that made him stand out, this one is more mainstream and without songs you'll remember. I sure hope he comes back with more country and less pop next time.

Martina McBride has to be one of the most powerful voices in the music business. This woman can give me goose bumps because is so awesome! She is labeled as country but anybody that appreciates music and talent will see what I mean. She is right up there with Whitney Houston Celine Dion, Mirah Carey. I don't necessarily like all of their music but you'd have to be a fool not to get chills while listening! Listen to the words, they tell stories, real life, look beyond the music, just listen. Independence Day is one of these songs. If you are skeptical, this would be the album for you to buy. Trust me it's worth it you won't be dissapointed unless you can't appreciate true talent. I think she should sing the national anthem at the superbowl!!!

I stumbled onto Brooks & Dunn when their cover of "My Maria" blew me away, which is hard to do, since I'm usually a hardcore fan of original versions. These guys can REALLY SING! Don't miss this GH collection. "He's Got You" is a gem I keep listening to over and over. The whole thing is wonderful, even if you already know the songs. It's great to have such a talented entity in the business. Keep 'em coming, Brooks & Dunn!

This is a great country/rock and roll combination CD. Otto is hot, songs are well written, band members are stellar.
