Alanis Morisette's latest album, Flavors of Entanglement, is the best work she's put out since her second record, Supposed Former Infatuation Junkie (which I prefer to her more famous debut album). I think the work with producer Guy Sigsworth has energized Morisette's sound, taking her away from the very adult contemporary sound of her last efforts. Overall, this album is just much more interesting and exciting (and pleasing to the ear) than anything Alanis has done lately. That being said, I think the album loses steam after a strong opening. The lead song, "Citizen of the Planet" pumps along with a great beat and is a great way to start the record. The lead single, "Underneath," comes next. Being a baby boomer and having listened to Neil Diamond for years, it is nice to get some new stuff. He is "eternal" and this new DVD is awesome. Some good stuff....

I really have enjoyed this album. The growth of his music is amazing. I heard some early 90's tracks that showed promise, but nothing like his last two or three albums including his live recordings!

Each one of these tracks on disc two have their own unique, quality that make them essential for Zevon fans BUT a couple are actually superior in their own way to the final versions. For example the plain demo and vocal version of "The French Inhaler" packs a wallop as does the solo piano version of "Mohammed's Radio". As with the "Elton John" two disc release that had demos on the second disc, this is one of those few albums that was great to begin with but has been improved by including these terrific alternate takes and solo demos. The band version of "Carmelita" captures the live vibe of how this sounded with a full band and I actually prefer it to the more somber reading on the original album (although both are exceptional). I own several Jewel CD's and I thought, because I do like country music, that I would like this CD. I didn't think it had that much of a country sound, and it is a little boring to listen to. I listened to it about 3 or 4 times and don't think I will listen to it anymore.

The fact that this guy would probably be a hit with John Mayer fans is a blow to this guy, since John Mayer is easily one of the worst hacks making music (no, muzak) today. I was hinted to call this guy a slightly more interesting John Mayer with an acoustic guitar. Sure, it's not deep music, it won't start anything, but it's breezy, chill music (not muzak, thank god). It's definitely worth getting. The sound of Jack Johnson is a good one, it will definitely relax you. It's a very chill album, but it's soothing and makes you feel good, than rather making you feel drowsy, bored, and wanting to rip your hair out. The title says it all a fantastic follow up album well worth the wait. Those of you who are not familiar with Rachael Yamagata I urge you to buy this album. From start to finish this oozes quality, This would make a great Christmas present to yourself!!!

For those just starting out as Beatles fans.....Welcome. Not sure how to start ? Look no further. Instead of buying different albums or discs trying to figure them out start here. This is the start and pretty much the best of their early work and hits. It will bring alive The Beatles and yea your going to get hooked. You'll play these songs over and over again. They say you can't ware out a CD. You can and you will with this. The only down fall is that you WILL DEMAND MORE. Dont let the heavy price get you. You will find that this is more then worth it's price and a better start then "1" or Past Masters. Without a doubt this is the best way for a new fan to start.
