Each of the songs on this album reflect the style of the various singers, and there are a few standouts. Fiona Apple's version of Frosty, Sara Bareilles does a lovely job with hers, and Silver Bells is a full-throated, gorgeous rendition. In fact, all of the songs are well done with one glaring exception: Katy Perry. Her rendition of White Christmas makes me think that she was either drunk while recording, or deliberately mocking the song. Really unlistenable. It's a pity that such the one track would be so jarringly off-key in the midst of a very good mix.

It took no time at all to get this cd. And it was great! I would definately do it again!

I love this album. I love it in a way that makes it a soundtrack for those rainy nights when I want to do nothing else but stay in with the woman I love. This is a passionate album.

I purchased this cd shortly after it came out. It is a cd I put on when I want to gentle my mind. Her voice is warm and her phrasing is perfection. Every time winter comes around I listen to her constantly..Especially if it's rainy and cold. Her music just beckons for a glass of warm wine and a good book. A must have for any music lover. The songs "don't know why" & "come away with me" illustrate the great things about being in love and all of it's dynamics.

I had heard this before I bought it, and like all of Feist's previous albums it is fabulous.

I enjoyed this cd more than "The Greatest Hits" album because most of these songs are not marred by audience clapping. Much better selection, also. Shipping was very timely.

Yawn! Why is this album in such high regard? It's crap. It's just a commercial computer manufactured pile of flaming poo. The guy can't even play guitar! He only knows how to play two chords. I think it's about time someone showed this hack to write music- Fred Durst, perhaps?

I picked up Brooke White's Songs from the Attic quite a while back. I had enjoyed here on IDOL as true original. The disc dates back well over two years and while it is an indie production the overall result is shows honest promise and in places real dazzle. Four out of five. "The Way Things Used to Be" was the favorite track. It jumped out. Sharp, clean, haunting with lovely lyrics, and a great hook. Brookes reading is superb here with her close breath work giving it even more feeling with a chill factor. She made me believe she had lived parts of song. Lyrics alone were beautiful with powerful images of "ticking clocks that pass the hours and shadows peer from the moonlights cast memoirs of the haunting past" Co-written with Robin Randall this was the true singer/songwriter material hope ... I love this CD, I put this on as I drive to work and smile all the way and I do the same thing on my way home. It makes me forget about all the crazy people on the roads. If you are a Neil Young fan you must add this one to your collection.

This was the last Beatles album that you could buy if you bought them all sequentially. This was the first Beatles album that I bought as it was released because I was 11 years old at the time. I love them all and I love The Beatles more than any other musicians and this is still my favorite from them. Sure, they revolutionized what could be done in a studio, but this is essentially a "Live" album by the greatest rock and roll band there ever was. They had already announced their breakup by the time this hit the record stores, so we all knew that this was it. Every song is up there amongst my favorite Beatles tracks, not considering Maggie May or Dig It of course, but I love them also. Just Great music...
