Some great songs (Her Strut/Rock & Roll Never Forgets) some lame fillers. Seger's stuff is not on iTunes, so not being able to buy individual songs forces you to buy whole CD's-a strategy that maximizes Bob's net worth-not yours.

First of all let me say I LOVE SIMON AND GARFUNKEL and their music is wonderful. But what we have here is somebody's mistaken idea that a greatest hits album should for some reason not include greatest hits! That's what I thought when the album was first released on vinyl, and here we are still dealing with this rip-off almost four decades later. And I do mean RIP OFF because nowhere on the jacket does it say that several of the tracks are alternate live recordings and that the applause at the end of those tracks absolutely ruins the beginnings of the real hits that are included. I bought this album a few years ago and I can can still find pleasure in it like no other album. The musicianship, lyrics, and Dylan's singing are like none that no musical artist has yet to duplicate. This would definately be at the top of Dylan's great albums along with Highway 61 Revisited and Blood on the Tracks. Need I say more.

i was in junior high school when the british invaded, listening to this album brought back a lot of memories, i give this 5 stars if you like the kinks, you will love this cd

This product has great rock and roll sound from the 70's. Crosby, Stills, Nash, and Young put together a true masterpiece that will live on through eternity.

"Life For Rent" equalled Dido's first album, her music, style and voice are all kept pretty much the same. "Sand In My Shoes" is probably the only exception as it's a little bit dancey, not in the music sense, I just mean you could dance around a little bit to the song, on "No Angel" there wasn't any dancey songs. I think the 4 singles she chose to release off the album were all good choices, "This Land Is Mine" and "See The Sun" could have also been good choices for singles, but I'd say that she picked the right ones. "Stoned" is a great track, the music is very electronic, I like it. "Mary's In India" is a nice little song, it has a good little story. "See You When You're 40" is one of my favourites (along with "White Flag," "Life For Rent" and "Don't Leave Home") for her vocals. ... Read More

This is an absolutely incredible collection that anyone who even remotely likes Bob Dylan should own. I purchased it brand new and it came in wrapping, but it consistently skips on one song at the same place. I noticed slight gouges in the CD.

Desire came out twelve days shy of a year after "Blood on the Tracks," but it wasn't a whole year without a new Dylan record, because The Basement Tapes came between them, though it was recorded something like eight years earlier. "Desire" is sort of new sound for Dylan as he is performing with the Rolling Thunder Review band and Scarlett Rivera's violin adds a haunting sound throughout. "Hurricane" the lead off song marks kind of a return of Dylan to social commentary. Dylan did the song, because he was convinced of Mr. Carter's innocence. The song was first recorded with Emmylou Harris doing the vocal with Dylan, like she does on the other songs on the record, but apparently Colombia thought the song was libelous, so Dylan re-recorded it with Ronnie Blakely. I saw Jason perform at The Tonight Show and I was hooked. It was a different sound with a good beat. I'm Yours is my intro to Mraz. All the songs are great, memorable, and vocally interesting. I am slowly building my Mraz collection.
