Where do I begin, this is great C.D. Dwight Yoakam is the only country singer I buy. His music is not sappy. He is gutsy and real. This C.D. has great country music in the older style, a little rock thrown in and wonderful lyrics. Dwight is great songwriter. I'm ready to buy more.

We saw this special on PBS and I was so happy to see that we didn't miss out purchasing the DVD! (I thought you could only get it via donation!) This special was something we stumbled upon, but enjoyed immensely. From one performer to the next, we were saying "Oh my goodness, I remember him/her/them!!" :) It's a nostalgic trip with some of the greatest country performers and retrospectives of the ones who have passed on. It's a great family special. The whole reason I wanted the DVD was to share it with my Mom and Father-in-law! It will be enjoyed by the whole family, for sure!

I bought this CD, and also another, to gather most of the older, and his later too, songs which caused me to become a Marty Robbins fan, per se'... I like the western trilogy songs like El Paso and Faleena, etc., but really enjoy the songs such as Honky Tonk Man and Some Memories, etc., as well... And who could forget Padre... Just another purchase I made to which I was very happy with... Thanks!

Having been a fan of George and Tammy in the 70's, I decided to purchase this cd and what a stroll down memory lane. I listen to it over and over in the car (and my husband is sick of it!!!) Not only does it have some of my old favorites "Near You", "Two Story House" but the cd ends with "Rollin In My Sweet Babies Arms". It's a GREAT rendition of the song and takes me back to a time when my girlfriends and I were really into bluegrass. If you like George & Tammy, this is a must-have cd. For me it's little like "comfort food".

I've been a fan of The Derailers for years, and am so happy to have discovered this latest release. 'Soldiers' had some nice spots, but was definitely a turning point; 'Buck' was a terrific tribute, but nothing original; 'Guaranteed' is the real deal, and perhaps the finest recording from this Austin band ever! Produced by band-leader Brian Hofeltd, his production sequel after the great 'Under the Influence of Buck' release, I began to wonder why they ever bothered with outside producers - Brian is more than capable as a producer, and this latest project is high on my list of great sounds.
