I first heard of Buck Owens thru the Beatles' Act Naturally version back in 1965 or so. As time went on I began to appreciate Buck's remarkable band and talent. His records sounded so clean and featured twangy Fender guitars. His band leader, Don Rich was a model of restrained professionalism. Clean and accurate picking, not fast or flashy. Buck was an outstanding singer and his two part harmonies were his trademark. All these songs were No. 1s on the country charts and date from Act Naturally in 1963 to 1988's Streets of Bakersfield with Dwight Yoakum featuring Flaco Jiminez on accordian. WOW! This CD was a replacement of a tape for a very dear elderly friend. We were afraid her tape would break and there is a special song on it that she plays daily. She is now using the CD daily. It was a great surprise for her

I recently purchased this disc after receiving the Grand Old Opry DVDs as a birthday present. Tammy has a number of performances on the DVD's and they are all very moving and it's great to see her in live performance. To say that her songs and her voice can evoke strong emotions in the listener is an understatement. So, I bought this disc to get a better sampling of The Queen Of Country. She is just magnificent! I'm almost reduced to tears hearing her on these recordings. No matter what your favorite genre of music is, just get this disc and enjoy. On this anniversary of her birthday (May 5, 1942) I'm reminded of the great loss we all suffered at her passing.

This was an excellent documentary of one of the Kings of Rock & Roll, and the music was fabulous.

This Capitol compilation is a great start for any Hank Thompson fan. All of his early recordings for Capitol are included here. Hits include: I'VE GOT A HUMPTY DUMPTY HEART, WHOA SAILOR, CRYIN' IN THE DEEP BLUE SEA, THIS TRAIN, A SIX PACK TO GO, & OKLAHOMA HILLS. While some of these songs were recorded later in his life again, these are the originals! If you're new to the great music of Hank Thompson this CD would be a very good start as you won't be disappointed.

I am writing to let you all know that this seller is very customer oriented. I bought and recieved this from associatedmusicbrokers. The cassete arrived and was originally and newly packaged . Never played. However when my husband played it a second time the tape broke. I originally gave this a low review for this reason. However , the seller sold the tape to me in good faith. He refunded my money without my even asking. I was quite surprised. I would definitely absolutely recommend associatedmusicbrokers as a great merchant to do business with. Not too many care so much about there reputation and about the customers satisfaction.

This CD contains some of Eddy Arnold's top hits over his vast career. His voice is warm, rich & mellow. He has 2 lady guest vocalists that were nice additions; however, one of them did a duet to "Cattle Call" that just wasn't the same as Eddy's original. I did not care for the multi-versed "Happy Birthday", but not enough to slight this wonderful CD.

I have listened to Johnny Hortons songs for years when they were played on the radio. Now I can listen anytime with my greatest hits CD. Great songs by a great singer and storyteller. Even my teenage boys like most of the songs!

This is the one cd that I keep in my car speaker. Every song is wonderful. He should be right up there with Johnny Cash. A voice like his comes around once in a lifetime.
