How do you not like Junior Brown? This is classic stuff: Highway Patol, My Wife Thinks You're Dead, and awesome duos and fabulous instrumentals. It's the whole package. If you're only going to buy one Junior Brown CD, I'd suggest this one.

What's mainstream Rockabilly? Carl perkins, Johnny Horton, Johnny Cash, some Wanda Jackson. Mainstream is a purer more refined sound. This is pretty rough. I would advise everyone to listen to the sound bites first so your no suprised. I never have been able to listen with Windows media Player to this sound bites although I use it for other music. To use Amazom sound you need the new Mozilla Foxfire and Real player. Even then some cds don't have the sound bites available. I love Rockabilly, I guess with more of a country flavor than rock. When asked to tag this product some of the suggestions were 50s punk, 50s punk rock. I'd say that fits the cd more than Rockabilly does.

Going Where the Lonely Go,-what ever happened to great albums like this ,a gem of the past,cause they sure don't make'm anymore. Going Where The Lonely Go,the Hag's best Epic effort ,displays a good variety of songs,ballads ,drinkin' songs,leaving songs, and Merle Haggard with the Strangers at their very best playing tunes like ,Going Where The Lonely Go,If I Left It Up To You,I Won't Give Up My Train,Why Am I Drinkin',For All I Know ,You Take Me For Granted ,Shopping For Dresses, and ,Half A Man,-Jimmy Dickens and Willie Nelson originals. The second Epic album on this cd, Thats the Way Love Goes,not the greatest Merle Haggard album but seems to blend in well with GOING WHERE THE LONELY GO. I have seen Merle Haggard, center stage up front, twice. The first time was 1968 in the El Paso County Coliseum. The second time was 30 years later at Floores Country Store in Helotes. For both concerts he and The Strangers were at their peak. I have been a fan all these years. This DVD is a must for any who appreciate Haggard. The audio and video quality are superb. Live music just doesn't get better.

I purchased this as a gift for my dad. I have to be careful that what I send him my mom will enjoy, as he will play it until it drives her crazy. They both called and said they LOVE the CD's. The variety of mixing older artist with the newer has the perfect blend for both of them to enjoy.

Some of the greatest music ever by one of the greatest artists ever!!! I won't do a lengthy review for you can find plenty of them here. The only drawback to this album is the first song is poor in sound quality. But, its from 1942 and isn't a professional recording, so what do you expect? Its cool to hear Ol' Hank moanin from 1942. The rest of the tracks are of very good quality especially when you consider they come from the late 40's and early 50's. The music is fantastic! If you like Hank Williams this is a must have! It is my all time favorite CD set. I hope someday to get the complete collection CD set, but till then this CD set will more than do. Pat Green is the king of modern Texas Country but Kevin Fowler should be right on his heels now that "Bring It On" has hit the stores. I thought KF would be running out of ideas and I was hesitant to buy this new release thinking he may have already written and sang his best stuff. Quite the contrary.. It would be one thing if KF could only WRITE funny, witty, sarcastic, catchy songs. But the thing is he can also SANG ! "Long Line Of Losers" got some radio play and "Best Mistake.. " is getting played out already, but those aren't even the best songs on here. "Ain't Dead Yet" is the only song I would care to discard from the disc.
