This music is truly heaven sent. I find peace each time her music comes on and mantra is so effective, especially if you can be still and let it enter you on all levels. Simply wonderful.

Buy Anand (Anand means 'Bliss' in Sanskrit) and listen for yourself. If you aren't moved to tears and cannot appreciate the beauty of what you are experiencing, then you better check your pulse! If you do have a pulse, I'm sure you will not fail to sense Snatam Kaur's connection with the sacred. This is heartfelt, spiritual music in the purest sense of the word. It will enrich your life. I also highly recommend her 2002 album Prem (Prem is from the Sanskrit 'Preman', meaning 'Divine Love'), which is also a gem to behold. Less than enthralled by this collection, I found the pitch to be of such high frequency that it was painful to the eardrums. I was unable to concentrate suffice to meditate. Although I sampled the tracks before buying, reducing the volume of the stereo simply did not create the desired effect. The music would have been quite good had it not been so high-pitched. Libera, Angel Sublime I and II by Aeola, and the angelic voice of Maria Callas are recommended. Guided angelic meditation cds are avalable from Amazon.com.

Words are difficult to describe the experience one encounters when listening to the sounds nature offers. I shall, nevertheless, give an attempt. Living in a region that is mostly dry and rain is just short of a fantasy come true, Thunderstorm gives the deprived listener a view of the wilderness and a chance to "be there" and enjoy the beauties and creatures which only few of us get to experience in reality. Truly, one reaches a sense of total relaxation when listening to this "gem". I regret, however, that my experience lasts for only 51 minutes!

Daniel May is one of my personal favourites, and this album is my favourite of his. I'm not much for the airy fairy nonsense, and there is nothing airy fairy about this CD. It is excellent if you want something to make you feel light and content, good for when you're cleaning or studying.

I was initially going to write a review for Snatams' Cd Grace. It doesn't really matter, for they are both equally gorgeous. Then I saw some negative reviews for Shanti. I must say I was stunned. I can not fathom a person who listens to meditative music not loving this Cd or others in her catalogue. I agree that the chants and music can be repetitive. But these are Mantras and Chants, what would you expect. I first listened to this angel by accident. I was looking for a different Cd from another artist a few years ago, on another website. The background music was the song Akhan Jor. I was completely blown away by the sheer beauty and eloquence of her voice and the song. When I was a child, my room was bordered on 2 sides by large windows. At night the upstate New York air was cool and refreshing. I would sleep peacefully. The only thing better was when it rained (and rained). The sound of this rain soothed me to sleep. When I would wake up during the night, the sound of the continual rain would lull me back into dreamland. Through the years I have been seeking a record/cassette/CD which emulated this wonderful sound. The closest I ever found was accompanied by boring "new age" music. As always, Thomas comes through with these great mantra CDs. This one is excellent again, though I do wish he would have gone into ALL the planets and what parts of the body they rule. It was all very interesting and my favorite of the mantras is the Apadamapa one. Thomas' CDs always have so much content, you really get your money's worth.
