This Theta Meditation CD is so good- I use it with my patients daily. If they are anxious, didn't sleep good, feel out of sorts or in physical pain- it is such a centering tool. Patients say it is "better than an ativan", "where did I go?" ...just amazed at their results. I am no longer surprised. It consistently works and people feel better. (Marianne Z.)

The lecture by Dr. Weil is excellent information on the dynamics and scientific work being done with medical hypnosis. The sessions with Dr. Gurgevich on Disc 2 were a review for me having already been trained as a hypnotherapist. Therefore, this is a CD I would only listen to once and/or refer to if trying to start someone else out with hypnosis. However, I did go to Dr. Gurgevich's website and order 4 of his CD's specific to some medical issues and impending surgery I am dealing with. Therefore, I do belive their information is accurate and effective.

I listen to this CD while I read. It is a very good CD. I love the flutter tongue of the flute. It makes me feel spacy and I feel like I'm in space.

CD's with binaural beat technology are a great tool to use in meditation. That being said, not all CD's are the same. "Dr." Jeffrey Thompson flaunts his chiropractic degree in the title of his albums, but his background does not lend much skill to his abilities as either a neurologist or music composer. I have both "Awakened Mind" and "Gamma Meditation." Basically, both of the CD's I purchased from this group are nothing but an endless and monotonous series of tones that cannot hold the attention long enough to acheive the desired affect. I did, however, listen to each album a minimum of five times to give them a fair trial... the effect was minimal compared to other CD's in my collection. I have most of Dr. Thompson's CD's and this is my favorite CD. I also have several levels of the Centerpointe Holosync series, which I enjoy also. Comparing the two series (Dr. Thompson's CD's vs. Centerpointe Holosync), I give the edge to Dr. Thompson. I find that the music on Dr. Thompson's series is more soothing and relaxing. I can also detect the beats, which my system seems to respond to better, than in the Holosync. As far as this Gamma CD, as I say it is my favorite. I don't find the music at all creepy or scary as some of the reviewers have noted, although I respect their opinion, it is how they perceive the music blended with their experiences. One of the best practices anyone can do is to set on a cd and let the Reiki Direct them - this is one of the most powerful Reiki cd's I know of.

Has some great tracks and others not so great. The good tracks emmulate Christmas, while others use it for another jam fest. Not nearly as good as Merry Axemas Vol 1.

Krishna Das is the top of his genre. This CD in particular is marvelous for yoga classes or at home for meditation and relaxation. The percussion and vocals add a lively twist to the traditional yoga chants. Highly recommended~

I was looking for music to help lull me to sleep. It mostly accomplishes this. However, the seagull calls which are intermittently present seem a little loud compared to the background level. Occasionally the surf noise rises too. It is very soothing otherwise.
