This CD is just what the doctor should have ordered!! I have intense nerve, muscle, and skeletal pain that breaks right through my medication and other treatments. It is difficult to relax and catch my breath. Upon hearing Doreen's soothing voice, my body automatically responds and I feel a sense of peace and comfort, as she guides me to a place of healing and deep relaxation. ABSOLUTELY, a journey I love taking, again and again and again!!!

I bought the "Sleepy Ocean" CD for around $12.99 and the "Sleepy Rain" CD at around $12.99 from Amazon.com. They were not offered, to my knowledge, in one package for what Amazon.com is showing today as $14.99 for both. So this is a great savings. Both the rain and ocean recordings are very real sounding and very relaxing to listen to either as background atmosphere or for sleeping. The rain CD is just the relaxing sound of rain droplets, no thunder, birds, crickets, owls, pigeons, cars, music, or anything else that's otherwise distracting. The ocean recording is a steady, real sounding recording of the water/tide coming in from an ocean onto a beach. No large blasts of noise followed by long periods of nothingness. This ocean recording does sound very peaceful.

I'd purchased this dvd because of back pain and the exercises are easy to do, relaxing, and effective. There is ample demonstration of how to do each exercise. This is a great way to start the day, especially for people with arthritis. Middle-aged and older people can benefit as well as younger people. These exercises helped with neck pain as well - a very peaceful, gentle way to exercise.

My husband and I are backyard bird-nerds (my stepdaughter's moniker) and we enjoy the Solitudes CDs with birdsong and music. Dan Gibson's latest didn't disappoint. The new-composed music is refreshing, not at all jarring. Of course we delighted in an entire track dedicated to the Wood Thrush, the most beautitful birdsong of Eastern US birds. As a companion CD to this one, we highly recomment Songbirds at Sunrise. Indeed, it does sound as if you are waking gently in the country, and the countour of the music reflects waking and rising. The addition of occasional frogs peeping is also very nice. These CDs, when played softly in the background make you feel as if you're outdoors. The birdsongs connect you to nature. After two listens I wondered why I had placed this on my purchase list. The chords, chord progressions and lead up notes kept reminding me of other compositions and left me expecting to hear something else to begin. I found it frustrating to listen to, either actively or passively as background. this CD will not waste space in my library. The interesting cover picture is the only positive I can give.

I have looked all over for the Perfect nature sounds and music CD and I believe I have found it! The nature souds are incredibly real (and non-looped) and the music is perfectly partnered. I love it!

Only one minor drawback-- a couple of tracks could have used less bird noise. Otherwise, this CD is soothing and has a nice flow to it. Lots of "waves on the shore", which is a nice touch. Thankfully there is no synthetic drumbeat to break the mood.

I don't know if a bad 2002 album exists. I own 7 of them, and I have no complaints. I would say that Wings is like Chrysalis, and Chrysalis is amazing. Very very calming stuff. Wings is not my favorite 2002 album, but nonetheless, it is great. Check it out.

Must have for meditation and/or just listening and relaxing. Absolutely beautiful music from the heart. I know Stan and the man has soul and knows Shakuhachi.
