This is just one of those mind blowingly great albums. It is so great, as in one of those albums that when you listen you might wonder to your self -- Wow, is there a human on this earth with such bad taste that they don't like this? If someone tells you anything but that this album is great, their taste in all things should be questioned. If you don't have this already, get it now!!!!!!!!!

I thoroughly enjoyed the CD. However, someone got hold of my credit card info & charged over $600.00 on Amazon.com. Fortunately, my credit card company noticed the charges, informed me & put a block on any subsequent charges. Needless to say, I'm a little "gun-shy" after the experience. I was able to recoup the bogus charges but I had to create a new account, obtain a new credit card, etc. Any suggestions?

The Very Best of the Doors takes you back into time, time when my Brother had a Super sport car, and lot's of dates. When I was Six years old and i would hang out with him while he worked on his car and we would listen to the Doors' When the Song Gloria would play we sing it out loud, and move to the beat. The Very Best of the Doors is by far the best, I now let my son (17)listen to it. The melody intertwine with two generations together. I with the old school records, and his i-pod tactics, but its still all the same music; rockin' 'n rolling till we die!!!

At least three essential, MUST have Beach Boy's songs: "The Warmth Of The Sun", "In My Room", and "Don't Worry Baby", are missing from Vol.1. They are found on Vol.2, as well as the great classic "Endless Summer" CD. "Vol. 1" is not even close to a complete Beach Boy's collection...get "Vol. 2" with it, or BETTER YET.. forget "Vol.1" and "Vol. 2" and just get "Endless Summer" along with "Pet Sounds" and you will have a great collection of Beach Boys songs. If all you have is "Vol. 1", you are not at all getting the full picture. It would be like buying only part one of a two part movie DVD. (By the way, I also happen to think "Surf's Up" from 'Smile" is essential. That one song ALONE is worth the price of "Smile".)

They put "Swing Down", the old southern gospel song, right in the middle of their second track! It makes no sense, it's just fun! It's funk. It's great music that you can move to. If you like funk, this is a great album to buy!

What makes this masterpiece speak for itself is the main ingredient none other than the tight harmonies flowing throughout this entire recording,infested with strong lyrics,a prime example,Attics Of My Life,flowing like a fine wine remenisant of the classic Beatles,Sun king,and classic is as classic does in Jerry Garcia's signature tune,Ripple,and other notable tunes such as,Sugar Magnolia,and Operator,the instrumentation is subdued on this album leaving the vocals standing out painting a visual in the listeners mind. What can you say about the Beatles??!! My daughter loves the movie (it was my first movie when I was 3), so we bought the soundtrack for the car. We all love it, and we all sing along!

Cream was one of the first bands I saw live when they were playing on the Murray the K show (two songs, five times a day) with The Who, The Blues Project, Mitch Ryder, Wilson Pickett, and special guest stars The Blues Magoos. I don't have to tell you which two bands shook the roof, but Cream was one of them. The band came out and played NSU and I'm So Glad with Eric taking his solos with his back to the audience. The recording is not clean--doesn't matter that there's a claim of remastering--but that's what made it work. Sure there is some primitive overdubbing, but even with that, it captures pretty well the excitement of the power trio--something that was new in '67. I love this band and this album proves that they are one of the best bands of our time. My favorite song, "Question", is one of the massive hits on this album. What I thought was great was there was music from the original singer of the Moody Blues - my husband was disappointed that there wasn't more of his songs, but he really likes the album. This is the Moody Blues album to buy if you're a real fan.
