As a total Dream Theater fanatic who has seen the band five times in concert (including the 20th anniversary at radio city), as well as a musician myself - I must say that this is my favorite D.T. studio album so far. For me, the high-point of the Disk is "The Ministry Of Lost Souls". It is a true masterpiece and an amazingly moving and beautiful song. Another one of my favorites is the two-part epic "In the Presence of Enemies". It is a typical, straight-up Dream Theater type song with great guitar playing and beautiful melodies. This Album has somthing for everyone: a ballad, old-school metal, pop, Nu-metal (Forsaken) and your typical dramatic, complex progressive rock. In my opinion, this cd is equal to Moving Pictures. the quality of the song writing....Great guitar work, cutting edge and positive vibe on the sound style. I've been listening to this cd on an almost weekly basis since i purchased it 12 years ago, I can't recommend it enough!

This album is perfect. It's all there: killer guitar riffs, awesome lyrics, great death vocals, beautiful clean vocals, untouchable acoustic work, and even a beautiful piano solo piece. My favorites are 'In Mist She Was Standing', 'The Twilight is my Robe', and 'Forest of October'. The only Opeth album that I've truly been able to call anything less than spectacular is 'Ghost Reveries,' even though it's a very enjoyable album. This is the best band on the planet.

While I was in HMV back in September, I saw this on the DVD rack, and being the Maiden fanboy I am, I so HAD to buy this. I've been a Maiden fan for over 2 years, and still am, and always adding to my Maiden library. Maiden are my favorite band, so I bought this. And this definitely is worth owning for sure!! 2 discs worth of material nobody has seen until they own this DVD. This is one of my favorite Iron Maiden albums. The musical qualities are definitely there. The lyrics are insightful as well. Not a bad moment to be had on this disk. Up the Irons!

What is this supposed to be? Now I know these guys are incredible and all but I am totally confused. Maybe if I were ten years younger and stoned / trippin out of my mind it might be a bit more entertaining. Very visual, they really take their time with the cinematography. Commentary is kinda stupid but funny also. Glad I didn't spend very much. They are due for a live performance DVD.

"Gamma Ray" is well identified as the band of Godfather of euro power metal Kai Hansen (ex "Helloween"). This is the third live album from the German outfit following "Skeletons in the Closet" (2003). A 2CD set including a total of 22 songs mostly concentrating on the post -Ralf Scheepers*- era. This release stands as a momentum celebrating the band's first headlining North American tour of 2006 (NOT 2007) recorded at the "Medley" in Montreal, Canada. What hardcore fans should probably keep in mind is that the show capture here is in support of the "Majestic" studio album, not of the current "Land of the Free 2" opus.
