I love Michael Buble. This is not a "new" release but worth getting if you like Michael. Can't wait for a new CD. If you like his music, add this to your collection.

I myself first heard of A Christmas Gift for You as part of the publicity campaign for the Very Special Christmas series that began in 1987, the first of which included U2's cover of Darlene Love's Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). U2's version of Christmas, along with Bruce Springsteen's Santa Clause Is Coming to Town and Dean Martin's Marshmallow World, are for my money the only versions of these songs to rival Spector's. Even at his older age this man can still belt those songs out! I absolutely love Tom Jones and I am a younger person. I started listening to him because my mom listened to him and I loved it! This is a really good cd, he does a few remakes at the end and he is so adorable when he does them. I can almost see him on stage being his silly self while he sings these songs. I love this man to pieces! Great Album, I definitely recommend it if you love Tom you will not be disappointed!Greatest Hits: Platinum Edition

Wow, does this CD take me back.....it's got everything, all their super hits that took me thru junior high school. "I'd Wait a Million Years" is getting tons of playtime by me - it's mesmerizing. If you are a Grass Roots fan, you have got to get this CD.

I've always liked The Wanderer and Run Around Sue. The Wanderer is a song that should have been covered by everyone from the Stones, to Aerosmith, to Hawkwind, to Hendrix. The middle break could cut thru anything. Ironically, it was Dion who covered Hendrix in what might be the most grotesque thing ever recorded, his version of Purple Haze, like a bad dream. Even given that, I am not putting anything he does down. If you are like some and don't much like Dion past The Wanderer, you need to listen to him out of the context of his time. This music, all of it, has the weird and uncanny feel of something inanimate brought to life or something formally alive that has become statuesque or doll-like.
