Also heard it on NPR and discovered it. It's a brilliant album, cover-to-cover, one of the true ones you can listen to in order and just sit back and enjoy. It really has a theme and a progression. Beautiful stuff.

Isaac Hayes is One of the Baddest Musical Creative forces ever. either as a Songwriter or covering other artists work he always leaves a lasting impression on a song when he does it. "Shaft" is a Household work and known period,but there was so much more to Isaac Hayes and you appreciate his arrangements and Productions along with his instrumentation and directions musically which combined so much. this is a Great overview and a must have for any Isacc Hayes fan.

Its sound is way different than previous RHCP albums but still keeps they're original style and flair. With crazy bass lines from bassist Flea and funky guitar rifts from guitarist John Frusciante, this album is packed with creativity and has something for everyone.
