This guided meditation CD has been extremely helpful to me. I would highly recommend it for anyone looking for a little assistance to jump start their meditation practice. Deepak Chopra's soothing voice and the beautiful music on the sound track really help to create a peaceful meditative state.

I've been using several of Jeffrey Thompson's CDs for 4 years and the Delta Sleep CD works for me about half the time, and that's pretty good, in my opinion. But when it doesn't work, the Alpha Relaxation System may do the job. After all, half of getting to sleep is getting relaxed and Alpha Deep, Program 1. works pretty good too. My fiance doesn't think binaural beat CDs work at all for her. You may think it's too good to be true that a CD will solve your sleep problems so a 50% chance of success it sure worth a try! This CD for me didn't quite make the cut for chakra healing in comparison to other sound therapy and chakra balancing CDs that I own. Halpern is a well-respected artist in the field with many years of experience and I don't discredit that he has a feel for what he is doing, however, I am disappointed with the musical composition of Chakra Suite. The music on this CD is similar to beginner and intermediate finger warm-up exercises for keyboarding, basically consisting of climbing up the musical scale and back down again. The music is relaxing to a degree for me, but also becomes annoying with the climbing up and down on the keyboard. Warning: I do not fit in with the "new age" hippie folk who bought and reviewed this album. I got this album because I wanted something soothing to fall asleep to - this mission was accomplished, as the music is quite soothing. But, I have listened to several Halpern records and I must say, for how many albums this guy puts out, a lot of them sound the same. Yes, the genre lends itself to repetition, which is part of the soothing aspect he is going for, but cmon. I also don't subscribe to the "energy" bs that a lot of the reviewers claim to feel when listening to it. Feeling "energy" from the music is just a snobby way of saying they liked it. It did not heal you, it did not purify your soul. It sounded good and made you feel better. ok.

I play this almost every night as I go to sleep. I rarely get to the end before falling asleep. It seems to me as though it never starts in the same place twice- so it's like a new CD each time. It's not like you're anticipating the same melody over and over. I have several soothing CDs which I have purchased thru Amazon. They are all unique, and I love them all. I find the reviews to be reliable when I am looking to buy more CDs like these.

This Theta Meditation CD is so good- I use it with my patients daily. If they are anxious, didn't sleep good, feel out of sorts or in physical pain- it is such a centering tool. Patients say it is "better than an ativan", "where did I go?" ...just amazed at their results. I am no longer surprised. It consistently works and people feel better. (Marianne Z.)

Less than enthralled by this collection, I found the pitch to be of such high frequency that it was painful to the eardrums. I was unable to concentrate suffice to meditate. Although I sampled the tracks before buying, reducing the volume of the stereo simply did not create the desired effect. The music would have been quite good had it not been so high-pitched. Libera, Angel Sublime I and II by Aeola, and the angelic voice of Maria Callas are recommended. Guided angelic meditation cds are avalable from Amazon.com.
