I have been enjoying this music that promotes the stillness as advertised. I enjoy playing this for myself and also as I perform massages. The variety of musicians really provides a spaciousness and tempo that pleases the senses. Great piece of music.

My daughter spent some time working on a boat on the Yangzte River just before SARS broke out. She loved the people and the area and I thought this would be another way to relive the experience for her. She was very pleased with her totally unexpected birthday gift. I read a positive review of this new music in Newsweek which prompted me to listen to the songs on YouTube first.

This album uses many, many influences but most notably old school r'n'b and eastern rythms. They remind me a little of The Go Team. Very uptempo with catchy tunes at every twist and turn. Inshort, a mish mash of old influences thrown into a concrete mixer, then regurtitated in a totally refreshing way. buy it now !!!

This is great music, just seems like Hiromi was SO dominating... like she picked musicians that couldn't quite keep up with her (although all still great), in my opinion. Who knows, maybe that was the plan. However, still all GREAT music, especially Caravan, Led Boots, and XYG. WELL WORTH the little money.

i am a body worker and both my clients and myself love this music. it is so peaceful, quieting and uplifting. it is impossible for me to have any emotion other than love when listening to this, especially in rush hour traffic

I am going to see Kodo live again in October here in Japan...nothing quite lives up to a live performance viewed from the third row but...this DVD comes close. If you have the chance to see Kodo live, don't pass up the opportunity. It will be an evening you will not soon forget. If not, this DVD is the next best thing.

This is an excellent collection of traditional Chinese music. Unlike many collections of "international music" this album has depth. It will be enjoyed, not just because of the novelty of the instruments, but because it is a collection of interesting music. You should get it.

After watching "Stand Alone Complex" I really wanted to have the opening music. I had mistakenly though "Rise" on this album would be "Rise" from the title. I was wrong. The music is OK just not something I would listen to a lot. Now I have to start the hunt all over again and try and find the correct song "Rise". Wish me luck.

The movie was gorgeous, and the music is lovely! We especially enjoyed the sufi scene and the song Kwaja Mere Kwaja... so we bought the CD just for that song! But my husband and I have the whole album on our iPods, it was that good. Now we can't wait for the DVD so we can watch the whole thing over again!
