For some reason, the link from "Thanksgiving: A Windham Hill Collection," MP3 version, leads to "Thanksgiving by Various Artists." This is a different bunch of songs that is a mish-mash of artists, styles, quality, and appeal. MP3 link is incorrect and the downloaded album is not recommended.

I love Windham Hill but if I cant download it to my iPod then Im moving on.

Product was received in a very timely manner. Music was predictably Halpern which is exactly what I wanted!

Just bought this CD a couple of weeks ago. I enjoyed listening to it because there's something different about these music compared to contemporary ones. Although obviously they are very modern, you can say Moby's technique of utilizing notes harks back to medieval times. The prolongation of some notes (which are hypnotizing) resembles those of the chants used in religious services. The transitions can be compared to majority of the classical/baroque music. And who could miss the vocals that resemble arias?

This is a perfect collection for the holidays, or any occasion. I have the complete Winter Solstice set, and lost the first album in a divorce. This seems to be out of print, but found a like new, perfect one on Amazon. I would highly recommend these for anyone who likes to sit and comfortably relax to soothing music. Steve

I purchased this to REPLACE my vinyl and old scratched up CD versions. Yes, I own the original vinyl AND the original CD release. I love the music. I wanted to finally add it to my MP3 collection of which I actually BUY all the music in. Oh, and I don't give copies away like the music companies say we all do......... anyhow, I bought this only to find that it's full of copy protection crap. So much in fact that this thing it totally useless to me. Instead of a happy moment I ended up with frustration. I wanted to put the thing on my iPod but no, I'm not "allowed" to do that. As i said, I now own 3 copies of this which I purchased. Nice to be punished. Anyhow, I'm sending it back and I'll rip from the other that I have or better yet, download it all for free since that's kinda what we're all ... Read More

The first time I listened to this CD, I was hooked. It is so relaxing that I listen to it every day. I bought one for my chiropractor to use in her office w/ patients to help them relax while they enjoy moist heat and wait their turn. I could easily fall asleep!

I was excited to receive this cd and took it to a friends house for a weekly meditation group. We ended up turning it off. The sounds on this cd seemed to be more about getting on our nerves than about peace and relaxation. The group didn't care for it. But it seems as though many do find it enjoyable and relaxing. So give it a try if you like, it just wasn't for me.

and saint dymphna is a decent album. the song lengths are shorter and the compositions are more condensed so you basically get more bang for your buck, though the ggd style shines through in all its new age world breakbeat twitter rock glory. a guest vocalist appears on 'princes', a grime dancehall guy which is ok, but there are some quieter, slower moments on the album, although the classic ggd flourishes have always been the attraction for me. this album provides something new from ggd that is familiar but developed in a good direction. also try 'gods money' and 'revival of the $hittest' if you can find it.

This CD for me didn't quite make the cut for chakra healing in comparison to other sound therapy and chakra balancing CDs that I own. Halpern is a well-respected artist in the field with many years of experience and I don't discredit that he has a feel for what he is doing, however, I am disappointed with the musical composition of Chakra Suite. The music on this CD is similar to beginner and intermediate finger warm-up exercises for keyboarding, basically consisting of climbing up the musical scale and back down again. The music is relaxing to a degree for me, but also becomes annoying with the climbing up and down on the keyboard. As many times as I have tried to get through a meditation with this CD, I have always ended up shutting it off and switching to something else ... Read More
