I notice that a lot of people really haven't liked a The Killers CD since Hot Fuss. I suppose if you are person who expects a band to never grow in their creativity or music styles, you might be disappointed in this CD.

As another reviewer stated, this CD takes a few initial listens to adjust to the new sound before you really start to appreciate the lyrics and the outright beauty of many of these songs. "A Dustland Fairytale" is haunting lyrically, vocally, and musically. I see this song when I listen to it.

I loved "Somebody Told Me," the first time I heard it, and I have been a fan ever since. The songs were so different than anything I was hearing, and this CD has the same quality. Everything on it is wonderfully different from what I am used to hearing, ... Read More

Pretty disappointing with not a single remarkable song. After so many great albums over the years this is a miss rather than a hit.

U2-Under a blood red sky was for most people the breakthrough album of this everlasting famous band. What was missing was their unreleased video coverage of this unique performance in a very special environment and very challenging weather conditions. It is out there now, don't miss it.
Next the remix of the original album gives you as a fan the combination of the 80's atmosphere in which the album was recorded and the digital remix experience you could already enjoy from the previous remixed albums like Boy, October, War and The Joshua Tree. So a definite must have for die hard U2 fans and more even for those limited group that want to discover how and why U2 became that famous. Don't miss out on this one!

When I first heard a Killers song on the radio I thought it was okay, then I saw them on SNL and found them interesting.

Eventually I went and purchased this CD and I am very happy I did. Maybe they are not breaking new ground here, and their influences can be heard, but it still works.

They are combination of The Cure, Depeche Mode and even U-2 (as you can hear on Midnight Show ) with a bit more of a rock leaning than some of the 80s bands such as The Cure, with songs that are very well done.

The first time I listened to the CD I was able to listen to it all and it kept me listening to the entire record with solid songs. If you like pop/rock/synth blends you will like the.

For myself, I wouldn't care if The Killers came out with an album of B-sides like Sawdust every 6 months if all of the songs are as great as these are. The songs on here are a mixture of the sound of Hot Fuss and the sound of Sam's Town and then a dash of neither for good measure. With the exception of "Move Away" I can, and have, listened to most of the single tracks with the repeat button on because they are that great!

As long as you are not a person who gets twisted up in knots when someone breaks what is perceived as protocol for artists in the music industry, then this would be an album you could enjoy as much as Hot Fuss or Sam's Town.

These songs come on... and I start jumping around the room like the dork I am deep, deep inside. And you will too. Or at least you should, because these songs are great, dancy, fun, minimalist ditties.

Sure, the singles stand out stronger than most of the other tracks here, but the rest of the tracks all have the same feel... the same vein. They're all enjoyable. The closest comparison I can make is to the B-52s song "52 Girls."

I could, can, and will listen to this album for many a night. Instant party.

Nice packaging job but a bit overblown. The
new DVD with two songs and the best Interviews
I've seen the 'Tricksters do in years. Better
package than the 'Tricksters did with the '04
LIVE/Interview disks for that Japan trip which
was for the 25th year Concert. Three disks is
one too many and another DVD with a whole '08
concert would have been better, but still very
good! Hopefully another 10 years to go, eh guys?

9.Sam's Town by: The Killers

Brandon Flowers's voice conveys more emotion than any of his other work, and the other band members do the same. Sam's Town is an experience and relates to me so much more than most other rock. I think the only reason sources reviewed the CD poorly was because of Rolling Stone. They thought the emotion and feeling was fake and cliche, probably because they didn't listen to the CD more than five minutes.

If they had, they would have found something deeper.

This is another Greatest Hits package I have picked up to fill in for missing/lost CDs.

It has all the hits that I remember from the Pyromania and Hysteria when Def Leppard was their most popular. I know they had a couple of records before then, but I never really listened to the band until I saw Photograph on MTV.

Bringin On The Heartbreak is a real good song from an album before they became famous with Photograph.
