Nice packaging job but a bit overblown. The
new DVD with two songs and the best Interviews
I've seen the 'Tricksters do in years. Better
package than the 'Tricksters did with the '04
LIVE/Interview disks for that Japan trip which
was for the 25th year Concert. Three disks is
one too many and another DVD with a whole '08
concert would have been better, but still very
good! Hopefully another 10 years to go, eh guys?

The compilation is very reminiscent of the variety of music we heard on the show--kinda quirky and upbeat. The theme song and a few other distinct tracks from the show remind me how much I enjoyed watching the series. It's a great soundtrack!

If you not a real big BNL fan than this is the album to pick up. If you are a big BNL fan than you already have all these songs. These were their most famous tunes. But if you own any of their stuff (if not you should really get some) you know how great and witty all the songs are.

He did it again! In the great songwriting vein of The Byrds,Beatles,Big Star...i.e. songs with singalong choruses, harmonies, melodies, chunky guitar solos, all wrapped up in a shimmering and vibrant and punchy style, man it just rocks and flows and my 19 month old daughter Daisy just LURVES ''Lets Love''!!!!!Terrific!!

Having not lived in the '60s and '70s when these recordings were first made, this collection is outstanding for me, as it not only combines albums from two different record labels onto one CD, but it also features every song I know by Badfinger.

I saw Joey Molland at Hippiefest in 2007, and his 15-minute set featured four songs: "Baby Blue," "Come and Get It," "Day After Day" and "No Matter What." I know a little about Badfinger, but not so much as what songs come off of what albums, or what songs could've/should've been put on this disc but weren't.

What I can say is, I love a lot of the songs on this CD. In addition to those previously mentioned, I also really enjoyed the Iveys song "Maybe Tomorrow," and the sweet ballad, "Without You." I am not a diehard Badfinger listener. ... Read More

When I heard these words, the first of the first song, I was completely hooked.

It's a great album, full of 1960's-sounding music, but with themes from the 1990's and 2000's. Every song's a winner, with lyrics that stick in your mind.

This album goes well with the progression of The Dandy Warhols.

If you aren't into Disco and the groovy beats that reside in that genre (though not the lyricism style) you should steer clear of at least half this album.

But if you were a fan of Odditorium and Welcome to the Monkey House, and you can handle a disco-ish beat, you will enjoy this album.

I recommend it to any Dandy Warhol fans. Also David Bowie and Lou Reed fans should definitely see what those two musician's legacy has spawned in indie rock.

Thanks,

Brother Rabbit

Nick Lowe's JESUS OF COOL is one of the great albums of the 70's and one of the best examples of the "pub rock" sound that developed in England as A cousin to punk. Pub rock was more of a throwback to superior musicianship and lyrics that focused more on being clever than confrontational and Lowe captures the joys of the sound perfectly on this recording. Kicking off with the fierce drone of "Music for Money" every song here is a keeper, from "I Love The Sound of Breaking Glass," with it's pretty piano flourishes camouflaging the anarchy in the lyrics to the comic horror of "Marie Provost" and the silent star's final scene.(which involved "her hungry little dachshunds") I usually don't comment on the extras as they are often sheer padding, but if you bought Nick Lowe's American release known as PURE POP FOR NOW PEOPLE ...
