I agree with ' R. Spradley "RS"' completely. this album is just boring. It lacks the Dido 'Hook'. Nothing sticks out here. Cant believe it took nine years for this. Come on Dido, you know how to right a hook, we KNOW you do. :)

I was not expecting a Lucinda Williams disk so soon after 'West' was released. I didn't even know 'Little Honey' was coming until I stumbled across a review in a Sunday paper a few days prior to its release date. Unlike many, I really liked 'West', save a few songs. I thought it had some unique elements for a Williams disk. It was supposedly her 'sad' album, as opposed to her 'angry' album or this one, which people are calling her 'happy' disk. Whatever. Williams sings with such conviction on any of her releases, that I don't really go for the emotional labels people & reviewers insist putting on her. If you loved his voice with Hootie & the Blowfish, you'll love it more as he sings his own country songs. He wrote all but one on this CD and they're all good!

I had never heard of Ray LaMontagne before Amazon's recommendation engine pointed out to me that people frequently bought Martin Sexton's "Solo" along with "Gossip in the Grain." I'm a huge fan of Martin Sexton since about a year ago, and looking for more amazing folk/rock music to experience. So I sampled a few tracks before downloading mp3s for "You are the Best Thing" and "Let It Be Me." Repeated playings of these tracks quickly lead to buying the rest. (And then regretting not buying the physical CD.) Love the whole album, listening to it many times the past couple of days, and now waiting eagerly for his first two albums to be delivered. This CD is 48 minutes and 56 seconds long. It is a nice, but not great CD. I would of preferred more Celtic Christmas songs or if they sang some of the songs in Gaelic. I just thought is needed more of a Celtic twist.

thi is one of the most beautiful cds i have ever listened to. it highlights the brilliance of guthrie and brooke's voice is pure angelic honey. the music is wonderful. i had never heard of jonatha until npr highlighted this music. get it today. you will love it.
