Despair : the music must be played so fast to be recorded in one CD . The tempi are so fast, no reprise is done, and the pauses between the dances are of one second: ridiculous !!! No one dancer will dance with this record. Maybe one new cartoon with Tom & Jerry.........

The first time I sampled this, I thought it was a bit 'corny' but I still bought it because of the very many recommendations it received. I did not regret my decision because after hearing the whole album with my kids, I was just delighted to see them respond to each song so well so much so that after a few days of listening to it, they can already sing the lyrics. Hearing them hum the tunes while playing always brings a smile to my face. Anything to make kids genuinely appreciate the beauty and finer things in life that many regrettably ignore now, I'm all for it. As with food, kids will lap up whatever their parents introduce to them. So this is good for starters alongside with the Classical Kids series.

Another great, funny CD. I have all 4 of this series and this is another great one. A must for all families looking to teach their children about classical music in a fun way. Also, a great rendition of Pomp and Circumstances that our recent college graduate son thoroughly related to and enjoyed!

In the year 2000 this Amsterdam based reed quintet celebrated its 15th anniversary with this program of compositions spanning 600 years, from Ockeghem to Ter Doest and Koolmees. They answer the question put in the first piece (Tchaikovsky's Nutcracker) of can a reed quintet replace an entire symphony admirably well. Due to the original score omitting the basses and cellos, they fill in well with the bass clarinet. Moving playing of Duke Ellington's "Jump for joy" along with some delicately played chamber music of England's William Byrd. Many of the rest were new to me, but enjoyed very much their profound work on Ockeghem's Intmerata Dei Mater, with a most delightful sounding basset horn dominating.
