When I heard that Chrissie Hynde and The Pretenders were releasing a new album I was excited.Bought it and am so happy I did...I always respected Chrissie and appreciated all the great rock she has given through the years.This album is filled with the traditional sound of Chrissie throughout.The mid-tempo rockers and slower Chrissie style ballads...capturing the old style Pretenders with a modern twist.If you are a Chrissie Hynde/Pretenders fan,there is no reason not to buy this one.It rocks...My personal faves are Boots of Chinese Plastic,The Nothing Maker,Don't Cut Your Hair,Love's A Mystery,The Last Ride,Rosalee and Break Up The Concrete.Pretty much every song.Just to tell you how rich an album this is...Rock on Chrissie...Glad you are back...

The album has a great sound, bringing the 80's style back into things. Enjoyable to listen all the way through.

The Killers really suck, you know that? My reaction to most of this album is "These guys are irritating." And since I'm not really seeing any redeeming facets to Brandon Flowers' obnoxious voice or the group's style-over-substance sound, I can't go "These guys are irritating, but they can really play their instruments" or "These guys are irritating, but they've got a unique sound" or whatever. It's just "These guys are irritating." Here's what Hot Fuss is in a nutshell: an '80s pop album for a new generation. If I liked '80s pop, then I'd probably love this album as much as the rest of the world does. But I hate '80s pop with a screaming, searing, blinding passion. October 5, 2008 First, let me be upfront, I am not the best music critic to evaluate the Killers for generational reasons but I am going to offer you, nevertheless a bona fide and credible reason for purchasing their music. Although I go back to the days of listening to Bob Dylan covered by Leon Russell singing She Belongs To Me on vinyl, as a music critic I can recognize unusual talent and vocal and performance superiority when I see it no matter what genre or generation we are talking about. I saw Brandon Flowers on SNL tonight and I honestly enjoyed it immensely. He had the presence and the confidence that we held so dear in the front men of some pretty over the top classic bands. not including Stay Up Late. You know that song "please let me hold him, I want to make him stay up all night". If your a casual fan of TH and just wanted a greatest hits, like I said, it's almost perfect. It has the mainstream hits Take Me To The River, Once In A Lifetime, Burning Down The House, And She Was, Wild Wild Life, Psycho Killer. Although I really feel the version Psycho Chicken by The Fools is much better. But there ya go, 6 great songs for $14.99, ya ain't gonna find that on a late night infomercial.

If you're a child/teen of the 80's you'll want to get this! Every time a song came on I couldn't believe it was another great song of theirs that I had forgotten about. What an awesome CD! I highly recommend it!

This was great when it was released in the 80's and continues to hold up today. This "low tech" concert manages to entertain with the simplist of props. If you have teenage/college kids that enjoy music, do yourself and them a favor and share this with them. Now my kids...(and their freinds) can't get enough of the Talking Heads.

This is another Greatest Hits package I have picked up to fill in for missing/lost CDs. It has all the hits that I remember from the Pyromania and Hysteria when Def Leppard was their most popular. I know they had a couple of records before then, but I never really listened to the band until I saw Photograph on MTV. Bringin On The Heartbreak is a real good song from an album before they became famous with Photograph.
