I loved the books so much that I thought maybe I would like the cd if Paramore was on it. I listen to all the songs almost everytime I get in my car.

I notice that a lot of people really haven't liked a The Killers CD since Hot Fuss. I suppose if you are person who expects a band to never grow in their creativity or music styles, you might be disappointed in this CD.

As another reviewer stated, this CD takes a few initial listens to adjust to the new sound before you really start to appreciate the lyrics and the outright beauty of many of these songs. "A Dustland Fairytale" is haunting lyrically, vocally, and musically. I see this song when I listen to it.

I loved "Somebody Told Me," the first time I heard it, and I have been a fan ever since. The songs were so different than anything I was hearing, and this CD has the same quality. Everything on it is wonderfully different from what I am used to hearing, which ... Read More

This album really is not sincere Coldplay. This is a departure from what they truly are as musicians. I recently saw them on tour here in Phoenix, I must say i was disappointed. The X&Y tour was much better, much more impressive very powerful and memorable. I vaguely remember the Viva la Vida show I just saw, that's what kind of an impression it left on me. The album itself does not grab me at all and lacks the power of the previous three. I hope that Chris Martin and the Boys wake up and are true to themselves. It is not worth alienating longevity or true fans to please a few critics. If you are new to Coldplay before buying this album listen to Parachutes, Rush of Blood to the Head and X&Y first so you have an idea of what Coldplay REALLY sounds like when they are themselves.

Okay, here is my song-by-song review and the whole album review:

1. P!nk- So What
Grade: A
Original Position: Now 29
Comment: A very explosive start to this whole album, so rock!

2. Katy Perry- Hot N Cold
Grade: A-
Original Position: Now 29
Comment: She sings great in this song. But, I never heard of her. Alright, nice to meet you! You did great.

3. Pussycat Dolls- When I Grow Up
Grade: B-
Original Position: Now 29
Comment: This song is a bit off. But, it is good overall. I think it's okay but there are rooms for improvement.

4. Rihanna- Disturbia
Grade: A+
Original Position: Now 29
Comment: This song is one of the most famous songs in this year. I heard this song from the TV ad ... Read More

I like pretty much all kinds of music, short of extremely hardcore rap and country. Jason Mraz is one of the best singers I've ever heard and his amazing songwriting ability creates a dreamlike musical experience that I feel like I can relate to personally in my own life. This music helped me through lots of hard times and I can't recommend it highly enough.

This band completely lost focus since X&Y. All in all I feel that these songs would have worked fine as B-sides, and that they should be treated as such.

Life In Technicolor II: Part 1 IMO is better, all the freshness of part 1 is lost due to the horrible singing. It sounds patched and it doesn't flow well. The song tries hard to build up but never gets there.

Postcards From Far Away: This is OK for ENYA. Not much to say here

Glass Of Water; This is Viva la Vida (song) meets X&Y. It sounds weird, but after a few listens you get accustomed to it. I would say this is the highlight of this EP, but B-side material at most.

Rainy Day: Coldplay going techno. I really don't get this number. This is new in Coldplay's repertoir, and if this is the new direction Coldplay is ... Read More

A nice journey this album is. Great tracks from start to finish, with maybe a couple that are less than favorites. Wonderful production and "mundane" lyrics that are easily beautiful. Great stuff!

Wishes of continued success and future gems. Thank you, Snow Patrol.

I have been a fan of Sarah McLachlan for a long time now. I first discovered her back in the very early '90s with her first two albums TOUCH and SOLACE prior to her meteoric rise in pop music. I always wished that people who jumped on the Sarah McLachlan bandwagon with her third album FUMBLING TOWARDS ECSTASY had heard her earlier material. Thankfully they can even for a brief moment on her best of collection CLOSER. I am so pleased that Sarah had included "Vox", "The Path of Thorns (Terms)", and "Into the Fire". For the most part I do like CLOSER however I would have rather heard the non-live version of "I Will Remember You". The two new tracks "Don't Give Up on Us" and "U Want Me 2" are excellent, especially the latter. I do though have to wonder if "Don't Give Up on Us" has anything to do with Sarah's personal life, if not it is rather ... Read More

I've been trying to get some more variety in my music library lately. Being from Washington, I've heard these guys on the radio a lot, so I figured I'd give them a real chance and picked up Narrow Stairs.

My jaw was on the floor the first four songs, and for a few more after that. How have I let Death Cab get by me up until now? Most of the lyrics are well thought out, and Gibbard does a great job setting up an atmosphere with the music.

I thought I was impressed the first time I listened to this album, but it gets better every time. Since getting this, I've gone out and gotten Plans and Transatlanticism, and I'm about to listen to those. My favorites here though have to be: Bixby Canyon Bridge, I Will Possess Your Heart, Grapevine Fires, and Your New Twin Sized Bed.
