This is a great JM CD if you are already a fan and are looking for that extra acoustic take on some familiar songs. I love the vocal rhythm changes in "Slow Dancing in a Burning Room" and the soft guitar in "Belief" I definitely think that this offers a cool, chill feel to John's music, and is a nice tag along with "Where the light is?"

Why are there only 4 songs on this CD? I didn't pay attention to this when I bought it last week and feel like I didn't get a very good deal. The music is lovely but just not enough.

Miriam Makeba was- is an amazing singer but this collection falls short. I would advise older original recording like: Africa, Pata Pata, even Live from Paris. You won't regret it.

Its been quite a few years since Grace Jones has released an album. I was thrilled when I found out, I immediately pre-ordered it. From start to finish this cd is incredible. I've been a big fan for years and love her early work. This new release reminds me of the "Nightclubbing" cd. I find it has similarities to it in sound and vibe but with a current feel. Its got that ethnic sound on a few tracks, I think its called libertango? Some are very tribal and some like Corporate Cannibal has a dark but deep sound. There is a wild video to it which is out on the web. If your a fan of Grace you should already have it but if you weren't sure cause she hasn't put anything out in a bit, then you won't be disappointed, buy it!!!

i was in junior high school when the british invaded, listening to this album brought back a lot of memories, i give this 5 stars if you like the kinks, you will love this cd

I love Michael Buble. This is not a "new" release but worth getting if you like Michael. Can't wait for a new CD. If you like his music, add this to your collection.

There's little one can say about Miriam Makeba to those who don't have the privilege of knowing her. You have to listen first. I consider myself twice as fortunate, as I was a small boy when her songs started to play on the radio in Brazil. This album in particular has a long story with me, but to make it short, I'd say that if you like the vibe and charm of real African music, it's a must.

I'm completely in love with this album, both the performances and the music itself. I know there is a diversity of opinion about a group like Anonymous 4 performing music like this, and I can understand why. They don't do a typical "period" performance of the works, which usually comes out as dry as a stick and about as interesting (and yet still inaccurate somehow). But they also aren't ignoring what scholars have learned about performance practice either. They have managed to strike a balance between the two, and the performances come off as fresh, tasteful and engaging in a genre that has all but fallen off the map.
