This is a wonderful collection of Natalie Cole. It includes some new and some old, including some songs mixed like she did "Unforgettable" with her father's voice. One of her best!

My parents were teenagers/young adults in Philadelphia during the 60's and early 70's. I grew up with my parents playing this music. It was just part of our environment. My brother and I were babies singing along with this awesome music. I'm in my early 40s now and heard an NPR Fresh Air interview with Gamble and Huff yesterday. Those guys are just so talented. AWHHHHHHHHH, hearing that music again brought me such joy. Learning about the genius of Gamble and Huff and all of the songs that they've written and produced, just made me profoundly proud of them and the city of Philadelphia; a place I left in the 80's. It is a wonderful album, 20 great love songs all arranged by Barry White. Any night, whether it's summer nights out with Friends or cold winter nights at home with friends and family, will be transformed into a magical night with this music playing in the background,. I often light some candles and play this music when I have family members or annoying couples arguing. Soon couples start holding hands and the arguments vanish as Barry White's healing message of love magically transforms the mood. Mr. White's music is timeless. I know that I will always have a place in my heart for the Love Maestro.

A key chapter in the apocryphal back-story of Motown Records has it that when Berry Gordy the label's founder first heard Marvin Gaye's conceptual masterwork he simply wanted to shelve it as the work of a self-indulgent "artiste" who had lost his commercial bearings - since nothing about the record conformed to Gordy's hugely successful "Motown Sound" formula that routinely cranked out hits in apolitical, three minute increments. It is only when Smokey Robinson intervened and told Gordy that "he did not quite know how to classify Gaye's new offering but he was certain that it was divinely inspired" (or words to that effect) that the Motown chieftain relented and agreed to a "limited" pressing.
