This is an amazing CD and my favorite band. Amy Lee (the lead singer) has a hauntingly beautiful voice. Her voice is like an angel but it fits witht the alternative rock style that this band is. The songs on this CD can be a little dark but I think most people will enjoy the songs and appreciate the lyrics. Every song on this CD is amazing, which is why I think the entire CD is worth the buy. You will not be disapointed. One similar artist is Flyleaf so if you have heard them and liked their music then you will definitely enjoy Evanescence.

I heard this voice on a Moonlight episode and feel in love with the sound amy lee made. I searched for the name of the group and singer, then I bought the CD. I dont consider this gothic music, just good quality singing with excellent backround music. I sang professionally for all my life and when I heard this CD I fell in love with this sound so I have purchased other CDs from the same group.

Well I have just made 1 pass at this new cd and I do not think its going to be leaving my cd player any time soon.I have been waiting for this to cd to be released and it is just as good as I hoped it would be.It is a little bit different than their first cd but thats O.K.bands change as time goes on and I don't think we would want every album to sound the same.Their new sound is a little bit different Heavier,Darker,Better,able to break your heart at one time yet able to send you running out to the dance floor the next.

An unimpressive album, used only a couple great tracks, otherwise n good. And the worst part is it can not be ripped by a computer! ...what gives!?

As a fan of symphonic metal over black metal, I can't say I was at all disappointed with the direction that Cradle of Filth were taking with their album 'Nymphetamine'. After 'Thornography', however, (though it is still in no way a 'bad' album) I was somewhat concerned that they might be headed down the same unhappy route as Sirenia and countless other bands. But how wrong I was! 'Godspeed on the Devil's Thunder' brings back everything we loved about the Cradle of Filth of yore, whilst also bringing a slightly more symphonic feel to the music than in their early albums. I got into this group just recently and I'm glad I did! This album is great! This group rocks. Sharon den Adel can really lay out a song.

Prior to the release of "Disintegration," The Cure could easily be considered a nice fit into the post-punk era of music, the underground clubby type stuff. With "Disintegration" they challenged an entirely new front, and released possibly the greatest front to back album of all time (obviously that is arguable). This is the greatest album this legendary band has ever produced, and it should come as no surprise that this is the most "relatable" Cure album to non-Cure fans. "Pictures of You" is the standout track, and a great example of what is the run-of-the-mill sound on this album. The tracks are longer, and they allow themselves to develop each track and suck the listener right in.
