I was not expecting a Lucinda Williams disk so soon after 'West' was released. I didn't even know 'Little Honey' was coming until I stumbled across a review in a Sunday paper a few days prior to its release date. Unlike many, I really liked 'West', save a few songs. I thought it had some unique elements for a Williams disk. It was supposedly her 'sad' album, as opposed to her 'angry' album or this one, which people are calling her 'happy' disk. Whatever. Williams sings with such conviction on any of her releases, that I don't really go for the emotional labels people & reviewers insist putting on her. I had never heard of Ray LaMontagne before Amazon's recommendation engine pointed out to me that people frequently bought Martin Sexton's "Solo" along with "Gossip in the Grain." I'm a huge fan of Martin Sexton since about a year ago, and looking for more amazing folk/rock music to experience. So I sampled a few tracks before downloading mp3s for "You are the Best Thing" and "Let It Be Me." Repeated playings of these tracks quickly lead to buying the rest. (And then regretting not buying the physical CD.) Love the whole album, listening to it many times the past couple of days, and now waiting eagerly for his first two albums to be delivered. This is an outstanding album. Amazing blend of voices that I wouldn't have imagined. Best buy for me this year.

This CD is 48 minutes and 56 seconds long. It is a nice, but not great CD. I would of preferred more Celtic Christmas songs or if they sang some of the songs in Gaelic. I just thought is needed more of a Celtic twist.

thi is one of the most beautiful cds i have ever listened to. it highlights the brilliance of guthrie and brooke's voice is pure angelic honey. the music is wonderful. i had never heard of jonatha until npr highlighted this music. get it today. you will love it.

I have listened to Joan Baez songs since I was in grammar school and I am just as much in awe of her voice now as I was then (the sixties). Persoanlly I appreciate the more religious tones of the CD. After the recent political roller coaster that we have been on it is nice to be able to sit down, listen to music that actually talks to our thoughts, and relax our spirits. To those who say her voice is off key, I have been in church and heard old voices off key, trust me, Joan's voice is dead on perfect. I was able to attend her concert in Tuscaloosa in 2008 and was amazed at how awesome it was to hear her in person. Joan, you go girl, keep singing till the Good Lord calls you home.

I bought this as a replacement to my original. I was so disappointed that after the 3rd time trying to get used to it I threw it into the back seat. Don't get me wrong, I really like his music. But I'm really stuck on the original versions and I believe I'm getting ripped off when what's on the disk isn't what I expected. They should have put on the cover that the songs were all remakes or refected tracks or whatever.

Enjoyed the album very much. Unbelievable, that after so many years there are still songs available. Great new arrangements and orchestrations.

This is a solid Rod Stewart collection but not "definitive." After all, it's missing some of Rod's best songs (not to mention biggest hits) including "Broken Arrow" "All for Love," "Having a Party," "(I know) I'm losing you," and many others. Part of the problem is that Rod has had a lot of hits, but still if you're going to say "definitive" you should have ALL the big hits, not just most of them.
