I really love Coldplay's work, but i have to say that this Album is a bit overproduced in a way. Where are all the simple and adictive melodies that the first two albums offered? The guitars? It's like it is Chris Martin and the producers album, not Coldplay's. I'm sure some people apreciate the turn to a more electronic sound and the big sound of the orchestra, but I miss the simpleness of songs like Yellow, Spies and the Scientist. Favourite tracks though are "Yes", "Violet Hill" and "Lovers in Japan"

I have loved Mr.Petty and his fine band since 1977. Just an amazing performer who has timeless songs. Not just the hits, the B sides are tremendous. Anything thats rock n roll, restless, spike, on and on and on, this band blows Springsteen and that overhyped Northern bunch away.

That said, for me the music stopped around 1994. Stan left because of the Ballads that were increasingly becoming the new music. Sure we would have an occasional hard rocking sound primarily driven by a wonderful riff by THE best lead guitar on the planet. Tom would have to write a lyrics to match. like Running down a dream. But they became far and between. Remember when you would buy Hard promises, your gonna get it, Torpedos, and EVERY single song was a sing along rocking masterpiece?

This album is different from any other DCFC album, but it still deserves five stars. I agree with another reviewer that the songs on the album do not sound repetative. Each song has a unique sound, but somehow the album works as complete work of art. The songs are different from each other, but they also compliment each other, which results in a nice transition between tracks. I really respect the band for releasing I Will Possess Your Heart as the first single. That was a bold move. I love this band.

Put it in, Turn up the volume, and Enjoy your vacation. Sigur Ros has this uncanny ability to warp the world around you, and it it well demonstrated in their latest album. Very few things get me in a better mood in the morning.

"Raising Sand" is the haunting and brilliant collaboration between Robert Plant and Allison Krauss; it opens with my favorite track - the Sam Phillips song "Sister Rosetta Goes Before Us", which quickly demonstrates that there's a lot more going on here than the "Led Zeppelin goes Country" preconception that the notion of these two artists working together conjures up. The album continues with track after track enjoyment and surprise. This is yet another triumph for producer T Bone Burnett, who has incisively crafted a breath-taking soundscape, supported by some of the finest musicians working today, where the whole is deliriously more than the sum of the parts. It all sounds so effortless that you know it must have been quite the opposite - dreamy and seductive, this is an unexpected classic.

I am not going to tell you that "Highly Suspicious"" is a Prince knockoff or this album was too experimental or not experimental enough. But I will ask you to put the CD in, listen from first note to last note, and tell ne that the CD did not take you on an imaginaty journey through different scenic pastures. My opinion is that this CD made my mind travel as would "Wish You Were Here" or "A Farewell to Kings" To me, the whole is better than the sum of its parts. Enjoy

This CD Rocks from start to finish. I personally love the music along with the lyrics. You can tell the band has matured threw the years and mastered their music skills. I now have all their albums and look forward to many more albums by Disturbed. A side note my favorite tracks are 1, 2, 6, and 11.

Although I continue to enjoy all of John Mayer's recordings... I much prefer his recent blues work... on "Continuum" and now this live set. I have had the good fortune to see John in concert, and each of his live recordings has done an exceptional job of capturing both the energy and intimacy of his shows.

I have to disagree with a previous reviewer who hears flashes of B.B. King and Eric Clapton. John Mayer's guitar talent is clearly influenced by the great Stevie Ray Vaughan's Texas-style blues... and equally so by the legendary Chicago blues genius Buddy Guy.

Modern blues fans must add this set to their collection, along with "Continuum" and the John Mayer Trio set.
