This CD really blew me away from the first note to the last. Each and every song fills my soul. What an awesome bunch of musicians. I would have loved to have experienced the sessions with them. Amazing.

I am always searching for music that is unique, beatiful and memorable. This collection more than fits the model. Willian Joseph is a young talent in a class of his own. The feeling in his music is something that cannot be learned, it comes from "beyond" as with a prodigy. Excellent, I cannot get enough, I cannot say enough, This is a five star-plus in my book.

I've had this album for about a year, and I can tell you it really is one of my favorites! The blending of musical styles and instruments, not to mention the musical expertise of all the accompaniament is quite unique! Like many others, I am particularly fond of the Middle Eastern influence in such pieces as 'Caravanserai.' To me, pieces like this are written in 'camel time,'which is the cadence of camels crossing the endless desert, going somewhere, but a long, long way to go.... Excellent music for driving long distances, background music, music for contemplation and many other things as well, it is at once mesmerising, soothing and illuminating as well. That's what my daughter called it, and she's right. I know Frisell makes these sort of discs occasionally, with bizarre horn arrangements, but I don't care for them. Heck, I can't even tell if there's a guitar anywhere in some of these tracks! I shouldn't have bought it before listening closely. My mistake. If you like Nashville, Good Dog Happy Man, Gone Like a Train, Blues Dream, The Willies, East/West, Unspeakable -- this is nothing like any of them.
