The KLF had a brief career yet extremely high-impact on the dance music scene during the late 1980s and early 1990s. With their innovative use of stadium crowd sound effects, their music could very well be a form of "stadium house". Their 1991 album "The White Room" is the soundtrack to a film of the same name, a film I have yet to see. Yet despite all that, "The White Room" is simply among the most magnificent,spectacular and innovative albums of the early 1990s, or ever for that matter. Beneath the familiar red and black dragon head logo on this rare CD is an "excellent" set of 10 techno tracks dedicated to the stars of the world-renowned video game, Mortal Kombat. The Prodigy were a great singles band and the proof is in this compilation which contains basically everything a casual fan would want. I have to take a star off though for a couple of reasons. First, the non-inclusion of "Fire" and "Baby's Got A Temper" is a shame and secondly, the version of "Poison" on here must be a single mix or something because it's not the version I remembered from Music For The Jilted Generation (the intro isn't as good). Overall a good compilation and a good substitute for their albums, which can be a bit tiring at times if you're not a fan of the genre generally.

I first heard this cd when I was dancing in a strip club in L.A. Traci Lords is yes the porn star who made headlines with her underagescandal in the 80's. According to her biography, this cd did very well when it came out in the early 90's. It has a number of really great songs including Fallen Angel and Control, which were the singles released of the album. Traci Lords is just sexy anyways you want to spin it and this cd is no joke. A lot of the songs were produced by Juno Reactor, who also had a lot of big hits in the early rave years. I thought maybe this cd would be a little cheesy, but it wasn't whatsoever and there are even a few nice downtempo tracks as well as the harder techno versions. Her voice and lyrics are very sexy and strong. It's a shame she hasn't made a follow up to this album.

This is not the original "Rave til Dawn" CD that ravers from that era are always raving about. Find the 11 track version that has "O Fortuna (Apocalypse Chorus Mix)" I think it's B00008EUHN, but amazozn only shows 10 tracks on that version. I purchased B00008EUHN and received the 11 track version.

Most of the good tracks are ones i've already had. I was hoping that other tracks will be as good. Alien Factory - Get the Future Started, Alien Factory - Destiny, and Drax Ltd. II - Amphetamine are very nice tracks that i've already had since a long time. Formic Acid - Eternia, Trans Motion - Pureerotomania, Charly Lownoise & Mental Theo - The Bird, Mindviper - Messiah 2000, Flex - Acid File #1, and Nature One - The Sense of Life (Hurricanmix) (an even better mix of a track i've already had) are good cool tracks. So, in my opinion, these 9 tracks are the the good ones in this compilation. The others are really uninteresting. Therefore, i must give it 3 out of 5 stars. For me, this was not such a good buy because i've already had some of the good tracks :), for those who don't, it will be a better buy. ... Read More
