Doing a tribute album is always a dicey undertaking and works best, if at all, when one singer does all the songs and has a much better voice than the writer/singer whose music he or she is performing. Judy Collins' tribute albums to Bob Dylan and Leonard Cohen come to mind as good examples of a performer who sings far better than Dylan or Cohen ever will. The chief problem with this CD of songs written by Ms. Collins and sung by several individuals is that with the exception of Joan Baez, Ms. Collins' voice is so much better than the contributors here. Shawn Colvin's rendition of "Secret Gardens," a beautiful nostalgic song about childhood, growing up and growing old, gets this CD started off with a less than auspicious beginning. This CD is a great find - just perfect to listen to at work - not too jarring for those around you. I love it....the songs and the voice are terrific. Any of my coworkers who have passed my desk while I was playing this CD actually stopped to asked who was singing. And a few actually bought it after that. A good find.

After listening to the Lamb as many years as I have and played I don't know how many of these tunes in my bands in the past,but we "diehard" Genesis fan become much too critical if someone tries to pay tribute to this great band. Rewiring Genesis is one of those close tribute Cd's that I did not throw out of my car window. Listen to it as an expression of the artists. Now you bass players like me will go freakin nuts like I did. This bass player does not use BASS PEDALS. Sounds like he is playing a 5 ,possibly 6 string bass. The songs done by Nick D'Virgilio(drums) and his band are good in some spots , but then very bad to try to change the texture of a tune. I ordered this CD on September 19th and as of today --October 25th I still DO NOT have the CD. Was told it was mailed on October 1st--so where in the name of creation is it now???? First time (and a long time buyer of Amazon.com) that I have had a problem with anything being delivered in a very timely fashion. Still waiting for the CD or a credit to my account. Maria Jason

I originally bought this CD half as a joke but I was certainly surprised how good it really was. Seu Jorge is a vocal magician who made my bob my head on every song. If you enjoy foreign music, or if you are just a fan of David Bowie this album is a great addition to your collection.
