The love of music this band give to us, the listeners, cant be paid for by money. This is music that embrases all the good things in life.
I feel so clumsy with words trying to explain how this music makes me feel. Laughter and tears comes out at the same time.
I hope that these sounds reaches everybody on the planet.
Thanks, peace and love to all

Ever since I read a synopsis of her life and music career in the newspaper a year ago, I was intrigued. I went to see her in a small local theater, and since then I was hooked. She mixes African and Spanish rythms with jazz and Latin beats to create an amazing sound. Her voice is captivating and penetrating. She portrays herself through her music.

I thought at length of how to describe this album. I would say delicate. That's why I don't get the almost black cover, but maybe it's just me.

One annoying thing is that the song titles appear in Spanish. The rest is Italian, as expected. The CD comes with the complete lyrics which is really helpful. My favorite songs so far are Prima che esci and Invece No.

Back in the late 90's, we've seen a huge Latin explosion in the music industry. While there have been acts that have been more about hyppe, and less of heart and soul like Jennifer Lopez, who hasn't really been a credible singer lately, or Ricky Martin, who hasn't really made an English pop album in years who just made everyone say they were Livin' La Vida Loca so much, others made it because of their family bonds. That was the case with Enrique Iglesias. His family has had a enormous career with singing because of the triumphs of his father Julio, and his sibling Julio Iglesias Jr., who has a moderate career in English a few years ago. But, it is hard to believe that it has been nearly 10 years, and Enrique has been the last Latin crossoverof the 90's act standing today. Now, his English music career ... Read More

When I first learned of Chayanne's Vivo release I was really excited because this man delivers a performance that is in a league of its own and I knew that the DVD would totally ROCK! I was right!! I didn't expect the DVD to be able to match the electric passion felt at a live concert but I was pleasantly surprised, and dare I say "electrified!" by the masterful way in which this show conveys all the magic of seeing Chayanne in person. The only thing missing is the smell!

This concert celebrates Chayanne's 30-year career as an entertainer and he delivers each song with the skills and passion of an experienced performer who loves what he does. Chayanne enthusiastically uses his experience to connect with his audience in a way that is almost mystical. He is playful, sincere, achingly sweet ... Read More

This is an exceptionally well put together album. The title song, Primavera anticipada bounces forward enthusiastically. The final track, Hermana tierra, has the best of what you'd expect in a song for Sister (!) Earth, a little bit new age without becoming hokey. The angry Mis beneficios could be plunked in the middle of a rock opera where the heroine throws her no-good boyfriend out on his ear, while the equally cross La impresión starts out soft and sad, winds up into a rock anthem before reverting to the soft, resigned tones of the opening. Finally, Más que ayer is just plain fun with its acoustic guitar, wavering strings and tinkling piano. And yes, there are a few other songs. However the list of songs I listen to every time I put on the disc keeps growing - unusual for me.

I've played guitar, followed acoustic and electric guitar for years in classical, alternative, classic rock and folk genres. These two musicians are in a class of their own, and this recording is probably the best example of their capabilities.

Whether they perform their own work or full or partial covers, Rodrigo is a superb lead with a hit, fluid style I've not experienced since early Carlos Santana. Gabriella uses her guitar as a dual percussion instrument in which the strings release the downbeat and the musician's fingers on the surface of the instrument release every other facet of rhythm.

This is not ambient or mood music. It commands your attention, but once you do you will not be able to still your body -- so driving and rhythmic is their style.

Produced in Japan, this ... Read More
