Was delightfully suprised by this album. I've always admired both men, but the two of them together brings back a feeling to music that has been missing.

I am a Willie Nelson fan, but this album really blew me away! What a tribute and a fresh take on the American songbook.

I'm an old yankee, 61, actually Irish, from Massachusetts. I've just started to develop an appreciation for classic country music. I've added Willie Nelson and Johnny Cash Essential two CD sets to my collection. They are both excellent in content and sound quality. I brought both on Amazon and as usual with Amazon I'm 100% satisified with price and delivery. Will be buying more classic country on Amazon in the near futrue.

The CD itself is in great condition. There was confusion about my having already purchased it, and shipment was therefore delayed. The seller quickly rectified this oversight and remained in constant communication until my receipt of the item.

Best Willie Nelson there is. Best studio recording quality. A 4 CD box set.

This was Willie Nelson's first Christmas album, which was released in 1979. It reunited Willie with the musicians who worked on his classic Stardust album, including producer/organist Booker T. Jones. Most of the songs are traditional Christmas songs, with a couple of exceptions. "Pretty Paper" is a song written by Willie, although it was not written for this album. Roy Orbison had a hit with it in 1963, and Willie recorded his own version of it in 1964. The only original tune on the album is "Christmas Blues", which is an instrumental written by Willie and Booker T. This is a very good album, with Willie doing these songs in his own inimitable style.

Moment of Forever is the most solid album by Willie Nelson in many many years. This is on par with some of Johnny Cash's late work with Rick Rubin and provides more evidence that some artists just get better with age. Nelson's voice is as good as ever and has a richness and depth that some of his more recent works haven't had. His pairing with new-country idol, Kenny Chesney seems to have breathed new life into Willie. There isn't a bad track on the album, but my favorite, by far, is his cover of Bob Dylan's "Gotta Serve Somebody". As a Dylan fanatic I must admit that Willie's version is better than Dylan's version. So soulful and heartfelt. Willie also strikes gold with his cover of "Gravedigger".
