Bought this CD as USED but it looks and sounds as good as new. This music is haunting, beautiful, or charming...depending on the specific tune. This is really pre-country / bluegrass classical folk stuff. You will either understand its origins and love it, or think it is stupid.

I got this cd for one song and one song only - Hallelujah by John Cale - got Hallelujah by Rufus Wainwright. Rufus is great and that's the reason I kept the cd, but why is it advertised as sung by John? After much research, looks like big companies can mess with their customers and get away with it - but anywhoo, being I really really like Rufus' version of Hallelujah, I'm happy. "I'm a believer" is cute too, but that's about it.

i bought this item for someone else hes had it before. i enjoyed it myself once i had heard it. very good cd, even had wolfman jack.

I happened upon the movie on cable and was impressed with how accurate it was to the time and culture. But what caught me was the music! How can you go wrong with the likes of Simon & Garfunkel, The Who, Todd Rundgren, Yes, Rod Stewart, The Allman Brothers Band, Lynyrd Skynyrd and Cat Stevens to mention a few. This soundtrack produced by Danny Bramson and Cameron Crowe really captures this moment in time and brings back a flood of memories. I don't think anyone who lived this would be disappointed.

Even if, by some odd reason, you didn't love the movie, the soundtrack is an excellent compilation of great tunes. Not one bad song on the CD. Great CD for your car if you drive a lot. M :)

Come on now; all this mention of Gwyneth Paltrow is great. But the real show stopper is "Try A Little Tenderness", sung by Paul Giamatti. The duet is sensational !!! I have played the scene over and over a hundred times. I decided to buy the soundtrack just for that one song. Great performance.

Notting Hill is one of my favorite movies so I'm slightly biased towards this cd. I love, love, love it! Never tought I liked Boyzone, but then I heard "No matter what" and what can I say. To be honest thought tracks 10 to 13 are total fill-ins and I didn't even put them on my MP3. Listen to it at home mostly, but if I'm in the office by myself, I crank up the volume.

I have loved this soundtrack since it came out,..but somehow lost the tape cassette (yes....) and had been looking to find it in CD.....very happy now.....awesome soundtrack

"Concert For George" is the epitomy of how an artist tribute should be executed. This all-star bow to George Harrison captures his very essence. Apart from timeless music, one quickly notices the sterling arrangements, performances and quality of presentation. The DVD is a technical marvel and could have easily been a 3 disc set had they decided to include "Crackerbox Palace", "This Song", "Blow Away", "Cheer Down", "When We Was Fab" and more of George's Beatle songs. I'd gladly pay another $20.00 for an expanded set!

Great Expectations es una historia cautivante de principio a fin y las actuaciones son excelentes. Para los que aprecian las historias románticas poco convencionales les recomiendo esta producción con los ojos cerrados. Excelente película! no puede faltar en su colección.
