I have thoroughly enjoyed this CD. I have always enjoyed Usher's music and style, and this is the second CD I have purchased of Ushers'. I ABSOLUTELY LOVE it! He seems so much more mature...(I guess the birth of his son has a lot to do with this level of awareness).

For some reason, this entire CD has all his greatest hits or maybe this album itself was just da bomb. There are over 20 songs and I will guarantee that you know the words to more than 15 of them. That's really good because most people don't know that many songs on an entire album. Get it. You won't regret it.

this has to be my favorite usher album next to confessions. the lyrics, beats and flow all work for me. he's very talented.

See the biggest thing that kept this album from being something truly speacial, was its shortness. Given it only has 10 tracks, one being a remix of another track on the album, it just didnt leave you with enough matireal to really stick with you. But this album was definetly Ush's coming out party. He had a album before this one, but it went pretty much unnoticed and barely even charted. But with the help of three massive hit singles, the mid tempo dance song, "U make Me Wanna", the baby maker, "Nice & Slow", and the more danceable track and title track "My Way", he had a fan base wait for this album. Now, there are some great songs on this album. But there are also some songs that make me wonder. And when you only have a ten track album, that doesnt leave alot of room for error. First thing's first, i don't like Usher and I never did. I wouldn't dislike him so much if he wasn't played everywhere and hailed as a god by women everywhere. However, I do believe that everyone has the freedom to listen to whatever they want. I'm sick of reading reviews saying that this is garbage and then telling people what they "should" listen to. It is obvious that those who listen to Usher have a certain taste in music and your petty little review isn't going to give them a revelation. An Usher fan isn't going to say, "Hmm I thought I loved Usher, but according to this unprofessional review, he sucks. Well I guess I suck. I have been listening to this CD all day long, me and my co workers are really feeling it. Must have. Derrick Dunn "DJ Aftermarh" gives a great review of this CD. "After a four year hiatus, Usher returns with one of the best mainstream R&B CD's of the year. Just as Usher as grown and changed as a man so has his music, which is a great thing in my opinion. Stand out tracks on the CD for me were Love You Gently,Something Special, Prayer For You and the title track. The not so great one for me is Moving Mountians which is one of the worst songs he's ever recorded. My detatiled review can be found below. 1. i often wonder as to why devante gave this song for usher to sing, it has to be one of the most beautiful songs D ever wrote.... he shoulda kept the song for jodeci, i mean just imagine if jojo sang it?? IT'D BE A KILLA JAM!

I picked the Kickstands LP up as a lark about 5 years ago at a thrift store in Joliet while visiting my mom. The cover art made me laugh and I noticed immediately this was basically a surf rip-off of the Beach Boys-but cashing in on the motorbike craze of the 60's instead of surfing. At first listen I found the vocals and some of the song writing annoying "he's got long black hair running down his neck, his bike's not clean cuz he doesn't give a heck" for example. I then set it aside except when I wanted some music for while I worked on my bike. However, the songs did begin to grow on me and I find the instrumentals quite catchy and solid, mood-setting compositions! "Riding South" is probably my favorite track of all, along with "Two Wheel Show-stopper". If the Kickstands don't grab you right ... Read More
