Mi favorite band in the 90's I really miss them. Some like Ska or Come on in sin were a moshpit classic.

Music: What stands out here are the bass playing and the psychadelic guitar solos. Ojo lays down some of the best bass playing i have heard in a while. And Gyms funky "wah-wah" solos sound like they come right out of the 60's. Which is a good thing to me. The drumming is great here as well. The music on this record is well played and produced. "Man Oh Man" features a horn section. And "All That I Am" features wooden,plastic,and cardboard boxes. And it works. Vocals: Sims vocals are powerful as usual. To be honest he sounds like a subdued Axl Rose at times to me. Lyrics: Inspiring lyrics are always on an Undercover record and Devotion is no different. This album is one of the hottest, kickin'est albums I have ever gotten. Wish I had known of these guys sooner, my life would have been much more fun!! Not a song on here I do not enjoy a year later!

the Undercovers, with only one album, are the most serious threat yet for the throne of Canuck Ska, currently held by the Kingpins. The use of keyboards, Kraftwerk meets Booker T.,works really really well. The future bodes well for the Undercovers. Hope they do some serious damage!

This CD is great!!! I just had to write a review on it. It's got some of the best new wave songs, covered by the new synthpop groups that I'm really getting into. Don't kid yourself, these indie bands are in no way amateur, they are just as good if not better than what you hear on the radio. Plus you get to hear German versions of a couple of these songs, such as Alphaville's Forever Young. All I have to say is: YOU CAN"T GO WRONG!!!
