I think that this is so much better than the film score. I have tastes for most kinds of music and after seeing the musical I appreciate the music more. I love the songs "Shadowland", "Endless Night" and both "They Live in you" you get a feel for the characters more. Definitly worth buying!

This CD replaced a cassette tape I made about 20 years ago from an album that was already worn. I love the clarity. The product was delivered as promised and in perfect condition.

The advertising was listed the cast of the movie version, while it actually contains only Donny Osmond from the movie everyone else is not from the movie version with Maria Friedman as it states on the website. Sent it back, since this copy was improperly advertised.

We saw this show on Broadway in 1994 and even my then nine year old son loved the music. There are nine songs here that were not in the animated Disney movie. David Ogden Stiers (Winchester from MASH, Cogsworth in the animated movie) narrates the prologue and his voice is extremely sensuous! The cast works perfectly together and the magic comes through in the music. I am a little surprised that The Transformation (Home reprise) didn't become more popular as a wedding song: "We are home We are where we shall be forever Trust in me For you know I wont run away From today This is all that I need And all that I need to say is... Is it possible to give negative stars? This is the most sappy music I've, and all of the songs begin to sound identical if you listen long enough. Verdi must be rolling over in his grave. Rather than see Elton John's production or buy this soundtrack, treat yourself to the original opera.

I gave this three stars because no matter how bad the sound, the music is that good. Still, it's hard to believe that this is a remaster. For some reason they decided to mess with the fine mix from the LP and, instead, crank the vocal parts way up above the instruments. Sample some of the cuts and listen for yourself--if the LP is drilled into your head (like it is mine), you'll notice the difference. ON THE OTHER HAND, the sound mix on the DVD is pitch-perfect, which makes the screw-up with the CD all the more baffling. Tip: buy the DVD and rip the tracks to mp3 using freeware like DVD-MP3 Ripper.

This was a wonderful book about friendship with dogs. I highly recommend it for any views.

Andy Webber and Tim Rice did this concept musical recording first, then produced "Jesus Christ Superstar" as a concept recording, and it swept the world. That was nearly 40 years ago. The success of Superstar led to the release of the Joseph score on Scepter Records, and the independent success of "Joseph" led to a stage version. While "Superstar" also has a stage version and was a popular movie, too, "Joseph" is more fun, and if you get a chance to attend a production, don't miss it. Its light tone and variety of musical styles make it a joy to see. The original Broadway cast version sounds just fine, although Donnie Osmond, who resurrected his career by playing Joseph, did not come along until later.
