Hey it's really beyond me how five of the lowest class crocks from Grave Britain can turn into muzak icons. In 1964 they jumped around a tidbit and they shook their greasy hairs but these antics dont make a good music. They are filthy poseurs without any form of talent whatsoever. I'd rather listen to Andreew Ridgeley of Wham team up with Barry Manilow for some good rock!! You must be spoilt fools to believe that this crappy CD is worth more than a stifled laugh. Get over it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

At the end of "Glass Onion" is when you know you are in for something unique and special from the Beatles on The White Album. The end of the song features a slow, piercing violin meshed with a "dink, dink, dink" sound that prepares the listener by saying "Okay, we are going to do something different and we are going to lay it all on the line for you, so be ready." Although I believe Revolver to be the quintessential Beatles album because of its mastery of the balance of art and pop, I believe The White Album to be the very best Beatles album of them all because it has aged the best. Paul himself said, "It stood up, but it wasn't a pleasant one to make." Admit it, Sgt. Pepper sounds like a 1967 album, (which doesn't necessarily hinder its greatness) but The White Album does not sound like a 1968 ... Read More

It's taking forever for Capital Records to release the Mono version of this recording. The Mono sounds better and is quite different,a couple songs are even played in a different key than the stereo versions. Pick up the Millenium Remasters Collection import for true joy

"Rubber Soul" is a great album. It consists of catchy, unpretentious British Invasion pop songs and you really don't think it would be that good but it is. The only song I dislike is "Drive My Car," but everything else can be listened to over and over. Slower, more contemplative songs like "Nowhere Man" and "Norwegian Wood," sweet love songs like "In My Life" and "Michelle," jangly pop "If I Needed Someone," and more aggressive numbers like "Run for Your Life." This album is just plain solid all the way through.

The Beatles 1 is a one CD collection spanning The Beatles entire carerr on 27 tracks, all the songs on here were singles and all went too number one at one time. A pretty good collection good for anyone starting out on the beatles but i dont think it covers all the good beatles songs. For instance there is no songs from Sgt. Peppers Lonely Hearts Club band it is missing a lot of songs but still its pretty good

From just three years(1964-1967), The Beatles were "I Want To Hold Your Hand", to, "I'd Love To Turn You On", Just three years and only after three years the band was at there peak and was starting to go into the full relams of psychedelia music. Such songs as "Love You To", and "Tommorow Never Knows", were unheard of as "pop" songs at that time. The Beatles were taking a giant step though Revolver still has a few of there short and snippy love songs it really marked the beginning of a new era for the Beatles. Revolver is probaly one of the first mainstream albums that includes psychedelic music and was just a hint of what was too come in one years and how many great albums would come out and change music forever.

I'll be honest: I've always moderately liked The Beatles, but never really got into them. Hearing this album changed that. I can now call myself a Beatles fan. First of all, the way the songs are mixed together into a musical collage of sorts creates a fresh approach to these classics that easily hooks you. Second, the clarity of the original remastered recordings is astounding. I've never heard any Beatles song (or any other song from the 60s, for that matter) sound so clear. The album almost sounds like it could have been recorded recently. Both of these have made Love such an amazing compilation that by "Eleanor Rigby / Julia", I knew this album would quickly become one of my favorites.

Simply put, Love will take you for a ride, whether you are already a Beatles fan or not. I can't recommend this ... Read More

I'm not sure why so many people consider this to be The Beatles' one sub-par album. Can I point out how great the songs "Across The Universe," "Get Back," "I Me Mine," "Dig A Pony," and "Let It Be" are? "I Me Mine" is probably my favorite of Harrison's songs, melodic and angst-y and full of meaning. "Across The Universe" is one of Lennon's best (I think "A Day In The Life" is the only one I like better). Also, "Two Of Us" is pretty good, and "The Long And Winding Road" is a major hit (though not one of my favorites).

So I'm not understanding where this album fails. Like every Beatles album, this album has more than it's share of greatness and winning songs.

The Beatles Magical Mystery Tour often is not mentioned due too the fact Sgt. Peppers came out that same year. On this album The Beatles are obviously becoming more experimental and using many more affects and trying too be more psychedelic. Well it worked on songs such as, "Flying", and "Blue Jay Way", are extremly psychedelic songs using lots of affects. This album was also the last of The Beatles making really acid rock albums and after 1967 The Beatles started too fall apart. The songs on here have all remained classics, "Hello Goodbye", "Strawberry Fields Forever", "Penny Lane", and "All You Need Is Love". This album is for any of those who have a taste for psychedelic music buy today and is for any Beatles fan.

This CD was AMAZING! It may not be the best Beatles album (Help! and Rubber Soul are, in my opinion), but it's The Beatles, so of course, you gotta love it! 5/5 stars!
