This soundtrack made me want to see the movie again, RIGHT AWAY! The music is fun and even if some of the actors aren't the best singers (how lame would it be if they had voice doubles), it's great! Great movie, great soundtrack!

Product was in good shape and arrived promptly. However, I did not care for the CD.

The CD is great, but the DVD would not play correctly. It kept sticking on one spot, no way to advance scenes, etc. Have not had that problem with any other DVDs on my player. Very disappointed.

I have been listening to this CD for over a decade and it is still relevant, still in my CD player at all times, and a muscial and score that will live on as my all-time favorite for decades to come. I was blessed and fortunate to see Josh Groban, Raul Esparza and Adam Pascal perform in Chess for a one-night engagement for the Actor's Fund of America Concert in 2003 and I literally cried my eyes out the entire time! The audience loved the show and I can't imagine why they haven't tried to bring this back to Broadway in the years since, although perhaps there is some shell-shock from its original Broadway running which was less than mediocre. This lady has one great voice. She can certainly sell a song. My only reservation about her is that she's a bit cocky. I think she could use some humility.

Of course there should have been much more. I remember there been a Metropolian Opera series called CAST ALBUMS- 100 YEARS that was put out for a limited time only and had like five volumes. As Peter Filichia noted they left out SHE LOVES ME, BRIGADOON and SWEENEY TODD. Also nothing from PACIFIC OVERTURES, BIG RIVER, CHESS, CRAZY FOR YOU, JEKYLL & HYDE, TITANIC, THE SCARLET PIMPERNEL, FOOTLOOSE- THE MUSICAL, THE FULL MONTY, URINTOWN... But they couldn't have put it all. I would have done without Lee Remick's "Anyone Can Whistle", because the show was a flop. I guess because it was Sondheim's first "serious" show...

Fabulous! Another great Sissel CD. Has a lighter touch than other music selections by Sissel but her fabulous voice is so versatile that it's soars no matter the style of music.

8.Mamma Mia!: 5th Anniversary Edition

If you are going to get the CD of the Mamma Mia musical this is the one to buy. I know the price is stiff, but, at least to me, it is worth it. I have played it several times and never get tired of it. In addition, it includes an encore rendition of the songs Mamma Mia, Dancing Queen, and an initial rendition of Waterloo. You can buy cheaper CD's of the Mamma Mia musical, but these ABBA songs are worth paying a little more to get the best version that is available for sale.

I like Von Otter so much. I have so many of her albums I decided to buy this one when I saw it at Academy Records in nYc where people trade their things they don't want for things they do want. I guess there is a reason this ended up there. This album is terrible.

This has become one of my favorite CDs to listen to when driving. The human voice is a wonderful instrument as well documented here... especially with "Bohemian Rhapsody," which is incredible. I enjoy the variety of songs included... and "World Anthem" has captured a special place in my heart.
