I was very pleassed to hear this wonderfull recording of Neville Marriner of these marvelous Bach's masterpieces.

This is the BEST Christmas collection that I have ever heard. I would like to purchase 15 more to give as gifts this year; however, it appears that Decca is out of stock or no longer releasing it. HELP!!

Wonderful classical music. The CD is very relaxing and offers a wide variety of favorite classical music. I can't wait to listen to the other "Relaxing" CD's that are available.

This is a fine reading of the lesser-appreciated Brandenburgs. While the 3rd is the "greatest hit" of the six, I think these last two are also beautiful in their own way. Marriner sure has the Touch, and despite this performance being on modern and not period instruments, I prefer it to some of the more "faithful" BCs I've heard, mainly due to the heartfelt perfection of the playing. Bach was all about perfection, on many levels, and these guys bring home how incredibly layered and harmonically rich these pieces are. Hard to pass up for five bucks.

I was expecting this to be true to its title"Meditation". Though nice it's really just a random selection of music not necessarily soft or meditative.

The selections chosen are, for the most part, to my taste, but the volume is comprised of fewer supurb selections, such as those masterpieces by Bach, Beethoven, and Mozart that were found in Vol. I.

Who doesn't know Tchaikovsky ? I mean yes, it took me a while to learn how to spell his name but the guy has supplied all those lucky who will listen with a lifetime of good music. This compilation starts of soothing and relaxing, just when your tea is still hot, later when it starts to cool off the tunes get rowdier and more mischievous. My guess is that no one wanted spilling hot tea through over excitement, especially when that Nutcracker suite starts to bubble up, by then even my cats look like they want to dance. His music is sincere, beautiful, romantic and easily accessible for any ear. Tea, books and kitties go perfectly well with this album, it's nice to have something to listen to while I enjoy three of my favorite things. I'm not a total geek, I do like lots of ... Read More

I am ever in search for music for canine freestyle and my choreographer suggested that I explore Vivaldi. My dog works great to Mozart so this was not a great departure musically. So I bought this album...It exceeded my expectations as the musicians play with emotion, with gusto, with great expression, and the choices are fabulous! And I also found two pieces that my dog really likes. You would be hard-pressed to find a better album. Great music performed masterfully.

I started listening to this when I had to cram for an exam the other day. I couldn't stop listening to it, and when it came time for the test, I wish my professor could have let me listen to it while I was taking the test! All the pieces are upbeat, while at the same time not distracting.
